wOw,,,, This is an awesome rom for my first flash too! I have been reading on these forums for the last month trying to figure which rim to go with. I was sat to follow the crowd and load M5 then I have monitored the thread and seems to have some issues and I really need my phone at this time and can't have down time. Maybe in the future I can play around and flash M5, merdinH or Juicy's.

I was going to load merdinH then saw a post from the (April 26, 2009) MERDIN'S WMPro 4.3 CE OS 5.2.21043(Build 21043 MerdinH)UC post and he said he had loaded this rom and was having issues with few things, like the keyboard, internet not working and few other things. HE said that he had went and downloaded this rom and loved it.

So with that I also decided to try out thias rom and wOw. Very happy only one issue so far not able to change my device ID it had touch pro already I need to change it to my ID so I can use some of the software I have like SBP mobile shell 3.0 not sure what I am doing wrong. So help if any one knows. I was wondering if it's due to having the phone unlocked?
Are when I flashed does the computer need to be the same device ID? I hate to reflash with everything working gr8 other then this.....

:headbang:Here is a app. I found to make your own splash screens.
And here are the instructions.

How To Change the Boot Splash Screens

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This how to will allow you to change the boot splash screens.

Download the attached file and unzip to a folder ( assuming C:\splashtool for this tutorial )

There are 2 images you can change. The first image is displayed with all the versions, etc.. and then the second.

Find 2 image files that you want to use and resize them to 240w x 320h. I have done in both JPEG and BMP format.

1. ) Once you have those 2 files, copy them to the C:\SplashTool\ folder.

2. ) Open the tool nb_image_converter_859_418_826.exe and press the "Load..." button to select the first image from C:\splashtool\.

3. ) Click on the "Save to .nb" button and save the files as 01_MainSplash.nb. It should produce a 150Kb .nb file.
*** Files should be saved in the C:\Splashtool\ folder.

4. ) Repeat for second image, but name it 02_SubSplash.nb. If you forget to rename, you can always just rename later.

5. ) Run "MakeBootSplash.bat" This will generate a RUU_signed.nbh file that you can flash.

***** This will hard reset your device ******

I found the tool "nb_image_converter_859_418_826.exe" over in XDA. Not sure who developed it, but many thanks to whomever it was.

So has anyone had issues with bring able to set your device name???
Still not able to change to what I had before az bobs says I need to add each other the following characters _, A-Z, 0-9

Any Ideas?

I just press down in the center of the buuton and you can drag it left or right to the edge of the screen then it should unlock!

As was previously stated, he had some family issues

"A few days" could mean any amount of time, but regardless of how long, he's human, just like the rest of us, and in order for him to be on top of his game both in his own life and his ROM developing life, he has to get things sorted out. The best we can do is enjoy what he's given us thus far to the fullest and await his return ;)

Super, I can't wait to get it on my phone. Hands down the most bug free and stable Rom I have flashed. (And I have tried them all) After is is all said and done, I always re-flash to 1.5 Can't wait to see what is coming in 1.6. Thanks again for all your hard work.

while in tf3d, Nothing happens.

your not alone with that problem, in fact I do not believe it works at all with the new opera beta. I use quick launch in start menu and remove internet tab in tf3d. I believe, but don"t quote me that 1.6 will see a older vs of opera so problem solved as far as quick launch in tf3d. This is a good rom jo, been a user for few weeks now and I have tried alot of them, so if you read over the thread you will find lots of good tips and tweaks.

i love your rom. personally even though it have some errors to it, its still works better than any other 6.5 roms out there that i have tried. keep up the great job!!!!!!

Sorry been a little pressed for time. Also was having problems with something I did to the new sys. I will do my best for today but if not tomorrow. trying to keep it as bug free as possible

The fingerkeyboard SIP works great but it messes with my hardware keyboard layout. Anyway to fix this? I'm posting here because I believe its a 6.5 related problem. Thanks.

personally I prefer the finished product but I am sure there a few itchy people out there waiting for anything.

I like the opera beta, I find it blazing fast.

I am not sure why people are in such a rush to "try something new" when there phone is working so well as is.

p.s. have you personalized your rom yet? Like a starrom splash screen or better yet a shooting star gif or something. Thanks for everything you have done, I love the rom and you have made my phone such a cool and fun toy...thank you again.

+1 from me. A finished product is more appealing. Much as I seem to be addicted to flashing these days I'd rather do it once hoping for perfection than to do the beta knowing I'll have to do it yet again.

Whatever helps you to get to a rom that is like 1.6, which is better than any out there, but remove the minor bugs, make it faster, and better on battery.

Just downloaded. As others have said 1.4 is a big act to follow. No biggie about the Opera, Iris will be default for me anyway.

What is it about Opera that I am not getting that everyone else is?

Let me know what you think. The Opera bug is easily fixed. I personally think its ready for "Prime Time" but there may be something I haven't seen yet.

Lol, love the "starRom" touch you added to the align screen and date and time screens at start up, very cool! Customizing now then Ill hard reset and let you know what I tyhink, if its anything like your past roms IM sure I wont be disappointed.

1.6 Beta possible issues:

Clicking the Youtube bookmark in Internet tab gives me an error that the file 'youtab' cannot be opened...

clicking Start, then calculator gives an error message cannot load the skin file...

clicking start, then album works, but the font seems too big

S2U2 doesn't seem to render in landscape mode but that might just be me.


That said, everything seems even faster, LOVE the blue highlights and detail to customization. TF3D IS faster than anyone else's by far. Man, I just love this rom!!!
