im making a tp2 manila + 6.5 rom for verizon but i dont have verizon i need somebody with it to test this test rom out and make sure it boots and doesnt do anything wierd to your phone....whos down:mrgreen:???

sorry it took me so long to respond bro. i downloaded it however i cannot change the pagepool at all and the ruu will not activate, perhaps im doing something wrogn?

its cool we all got to sleep....the pagepool cant be changed with that ill see if i can learn to hex...try renaming it to RAPHIMG and flashing from the card

ok i can send u the rom but this was just see if it works i put random things in it, if u still want it ill send it to u or u can wait for the realthing

Redd,

Did you have issues with it hanging at boot? It doesn't always hang, just sometimes. Also, Phantom's 6.5 build seems to hang less than this one or JD's.

On Phantom's post the drivers were mentioned as a possible cause. But I ran the verizon carrier cab and it didn't help.

thats strange, i didnt have that issue at all, did u installed anything else that may be causing a conflict?

well i just had silence 8.5 and i really liked having the emulators there but the controls werent set you think you could put those in the rom?
i cant think of any other programs off the top of my head

Nope, clean install. No additional installs. It has been having that issue since I tried the first beta build of 6.5 last month. I loaded the stock verizon rom this morning to see if that helped then tried a couple different ones again, but it didn't.

Is there a newer radio out there or something? I have 1.03 .03V and SPL 0.35.COMNEX.

i would try doing a hard reset.. im guessing you dont hard reset between roms? try hard resetting after every flash this will help!
the radio wont change the problem you have but i would try out the telus 1.04 radio! so far ive had the best results with it

looks like the hard keyboard isn't mapped right? Tried hitting function 2 for an @ symbol, the light came on, but it still just typed a 2...

i cant remember the exact ones but there was a snes emulator, a genesis emulator and pocketGBA

Hard reset multiple times with multiple roms. Always the same. Occasionally locks up at boot screen. Tried flashing the verizon stock rom, hard reset, flashed 6.5 rom, hard reset, still seeing occasional lockup on boot. Tried about 12 different flavors of 6.5 roms so far. Always hard reset after flash. Hard reset multiple times just for giggles too.

hmm did you flash using the exe for the vzw stock rom or did you just use the .nbh? and did you try relocking and unlocking after you flashed stock rom?

Curses! I did use the .exe, but no, I did not lock and unlock. I want to say that shouldn't make a difference, but of course, now I have to try it.

Had a senior moment. I did try that a while ago. Relocked and unlocked thinking the SPL might have something to do with it. I may try it again, I do think the SPL is causing the issue.

it does not hang after the first boot after a flash. And it doesn't always hang on soft reset. But it has never hung right after the flash when you get the setting up for first time use screen.

Others may have already figured this out, but to fix the weather issue, you need to run start, hit x then scroll all the way down to launcher and run that, then setup. It seems to work for me now.

Honestly, I cheated. I ran the cab file. It does do the 5 day forecast after that. Yours didn't do the 5 day until I ran the installer. Maybe you should just load the cab into the my documents folder as an optional install?

yea ill prolly do that i got the keyboard back to normal & i have it so with the final burn emulator the keys map correctly(not the #s tho) with out anything else running
