Re: Problems with Windows Vista

HOW TO FLASH YOUR ROM Flash from microSD Card (Thanks to MadlyAlive): 1. Make sure you backup anything that is necessary to your day to day operations! At a minimum, please perform an ActiveSync to Outlook or your Exchange server prior to flashing! 2. Rename the custom ROM NBH file from RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh 3. Copy RAPHIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD Card. 4. Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus. 5. When your Touch Pro tells you to do so, press the power button to begin the flash process. If you do not get the message to press the power button to flash, there is a mistake in the name of the NBH file or you do not have the file at the root of your microSD card. 6. When flashing is complete, perform a soft reset. You'll be frowned upon if you post without researching.

Re: Problems with Windows Vista
For god sakes..... This vista stuff is so out of proportion! You can flash EVERY rom with vista. Every rom will flash to a TP or titan and what not. The only case is if someone includes a modified RUU program that is somehow not compatible with vista. The SD card flashing is NOT worth it.

Re: Problems with Windows Vista
dude, sd card flashing is AMAZING. I can flash my roms i want to test while i am sitting in the park and flash back if I decide I dont like it just by saving your nbh files on the sd card.

Re: Problems with Windows Vista
Well thanks for the replies. It's not that I don't research, but I really didn't find anything on it. And I posted this because I asked HTC about this problem and they said that the problem was caused by Vista, and sure enough. As soon as I tried it with XP, it all went smooth. I just wanted to know if anyone in here is doing alot of rom flashing with vista. That's it...
As for SD flashing, I hear it's good and bad. So I don't know which way to go now. |

Re: Problems with Windows Vista
SD flashing wouldn't work for me, and i had everything done proper, renamed exactly as mentioned and on the root of the card. still said no image found. so i have to do it via sync to a comp. oh wells
p.s I use vista x64 ultimate and I've flashed about 12 times and have had the phone for about 2 weeks. Last edited by slyph; 03-06-2009 at 08:17 PM. |

Re: Problems with Windows Vista
when people cant get the SD card method to work its pretty much always one or more of the following.
SD card must be formatted fat 32 nbh file must be names RAPHIMG.nbh (remember the file explorer hides the extension) the nbh file must be at the lowest level on the card (aka root aka on the card but not in any folders) |
