Re: [3-24-09] Jmz Rom 1.7 [CE OS 21038] [UC] Manila-Free/Standard Manila/TP2 Manila

jmz, I am trying your 1.7 rom with manilla and it works sweet. I just wish there was alittle more program memory, because all I have done so far is sync up my outlook and my e-mail and program memory went from 192.46MB to 90.22MB other than that it is sweet. I see you have a 1.8 rom, I might have to try that.

How do you change it so the hard keyboard doesn't vibrate when you use it?

Thanks in advance

JMZ,

What version of TCPMP works with this Rom?

Thanks!

I'm liking the looks of this rom. Almost all the apps I install after flashing are built in to this one which is awesome! Does this have any tweaks put in to it tho? Such as cache adjustments, battery tweaks, etc...
Also do you have any benchmarks ran to see how it stacks up to juicys and mikes?
Great work on this rom, and I am looking forward to trying it out!

Re: [3-29-09] Jmz Rom 1.8 [CE OS 21038] [UC] Manila-Free/Standard Manila/TP2 Manila

Love to know what tweaks if any are in it.. because this ROM is super fast! But do we have battery tweaks? Do we have any extras or is it just a clean ROM? But it sure is the fastest ROM I have used.

JMZ you are one of the most underrated chefs in PPC Geeks. You're ROM is amazing and super fast. I'd actualy gone to JD's 6.5 rom becaue all the 6.1 TP2 roms were un-usable for me...that is until I installed yours.

You're the MAN!...

Bug report, the ICR software doesn't pick up the other end properly. Tested on Rhodium and the No Manilla version. It's faint on their side and clear on mine.

Try disabling TF3D then install your flip clock. Soft reset then turn TF3D back on and that should do the trick

Ok I have found a serious problem with performance.. the diamond hologram performs very very poorly with this ROM.. I hit up to 50 fps with Mighty Rom.. but this one I can't even get 25 fps.. the thing will barely move. So what video tweak is being done on it that is not being done on this one?

Another problem I have is the TCPMP does not work on this rom at all.. Think I have to try another rom.. This one needs a video driver tweak and a test to make sure TCPMP works with it properly.

Anyone experiences with the 1-hour timezone offset on this build? My clock and all the appointments are off after I went into the world clock setting.

Just tweaks that are standard in calcu's kitchen and some of my own.

I am running TCPMP .72 and I can load a 300 MB FLV or MP4 and it will work just fine.

Its not an issue with the rom, its an issue with this dll not being in the windows folder. Put this in there and soft reset. Then try.

That's what I thought too. I was going to but there was already one in the windows folder for both of the versions I installed. Unless it was just debris from the prior roms I had installed anyways...

Re: Jmz Rom 1.8 [CE OS 21038] [UC] REMOVED

JMZ,

I would just like to say Thank You for taking the time to put together such a nice ROM..
I have really enjoyed the speed of your new 1.8 rom, and I am sad to see it's development halted. Hopefully others will take your base and build upon it to create an even greater work of art.

I will probably stick with your Rom for some time since it has provided me the greatest joy of any of the previous Roms I have tried.
In all Fairness to all of the Rom Cookers in these forums I Have only tried one other Rom for the TP. If I do decide to switch the Rom I will take your expert advice and probably try Juicy's Rom.

Again, Thank You for all of your hard work on this Rom. You have paved the way for the makings of a great experience for all of the PPCGeeks Community.

Jmz Rom 1.8

Thanks goes to so many people. Juicy, Calcu, showaco (xda), wapvirus (xda), savage25rcracer, joeball88, cmonex, Conflipper, FayFay, carburano (xda), hellonasty (xda), Juggalo_X, dharvey, and everybody else at PPCGEEKS and XDA. Sorry if I missed you.

Rom removed. There are many reasons for it but the main reason is it is consuming too much of my life. The other is just the attitude of some of the members on this site. I know, if you look at my past on here, I put up a rom then back out of it. But this is the first one I have because of personal reasons. It seems so many members want something tailored to them in particular. Calcu's kitchen is SIMPLE. There is a plethora of information on this site to learn how to cook. Just because you cook a rom doesn't mean you have to release it and support it if you don't want to. This is why this site exists. For learning what our devices are capable of. Not just to find stuff to download, flash, and complain that it isn't for you. But enough ranting. I'm not going to just rant and disappear. I have many projects going on at once and will be giving a lot of stuff to this community. My projects are below.

Hit me up on MSN if you ever want some assistance in cooking your own rom.

I am putting my sys and oem up on here so people can do anything they want to it.

I'm not trying to make enemies or start some crap here. Just giving my reasons and willing to help anybody with just about anything I know how to do. Thanks for everybody's support with this rom.

And for some reason if someone is wondering what rom I am using is going to be, it is Juicy's. :)

Projects:
1. Sprint theme for Rhodium Manila
2. Porting 6.5 dialer
3. Porting Rhodium dialer
4. Porting Rhodium Camera
5. A true 100% tutorial for calcu's kitchen.
6. There are some more just can't think of them

Thank you for the hard work, I notice people are a little crass on here sometimes as if this were and HTC Cust service site. Your ded on with your comments

Dear JMZ,

I am very excited to see you back cooking ROMS. Truth be told I have not been satisfied with any other ROMS released since you've released your 1.8. I would flash and always come back to yours because it was stable, fast and practicaly big free( I actualy can't think of a bug but don't want to put anyone down if they've had some). Your return is very welcome.
