Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem and it's probably me, I've been flashing for about a year but this is my first time via sd card.
I've been trying to do this for 2 days, I unlocked the phone and placed the RAPHIMG.nbh (unziped) file on the root of my 1gb Fat32 formatted SD card but when I hold down the Power + Volume down and Soft Reset the tri-color screen flashes for a second and goes to a screen that says Loading... at first I thought I needed to wait for the next step so I waited for 3 hours but the screen never went away. I've tried this with different roms but I get the same outcome. when I soft reset the phone restarts fine and works but it's the stock rom. What am I doing wrong. My phone is the Sprint TP

take the sd card out and enter bootloader. tell me what that screen says.

Also you can try reformating the sd card, but make sure you backup the files first.

New to flashing ROM on Sprint Touch Pro. Your instructions are excellent. I did have the unbootable cycle but used [B]|HERM|ROM|6.5|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Mercury' (23009) ** || Built July 27th || ROM fixed it. Thanks! Love the new ROM.

Is the unbootable cycle when it freezes on the loading screen, if so, can you explain how you were able to reflash. I've been trying to reflash via sd, but I still get the loading screen

**EDIT**

Cornelious,

I believe I'm getting the same error dlgipson...when the sd is out i get the rainbow screen with the following information:
Secuirty Unlocked RUUNBH
RAPH800
SPL-0.37.0000
MicroP-Hermann (LED) v0C85
MicroP-Hermann (KEY) v0685
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20

Upgrade ROM code error Please try again

ok...this is what you need to do. your phone is locked now, so you can't flash a custom rom or a stock rom dump. you have to flash the SHIPPED stock rom and then your phone will be fine. download the SHIPPED stock rom here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42741
then, you have to remove the mem card from phone and connect it to computer while your phone is in the bootloader mode (tri-color screen), then run the shipped rom exe file and the flashing process will begin.

or, you can flash via microsd card by using winrar to extract the nbh from the SHIPPED rom, rename it properly and put it on your mem card and flash it that way.

ps. you have not told us who your carrier is, so if you can't find the shipped stock rom for your carrier in that link i gave you, let us know.

1. I download SSPL and put it in the root of the phone
2. I download the RAPHIMG and put in the root of the storage card
3. I open SSPL on the phone and it takes me to the tri color, mind you I still have it plugged into my computer so it says USB in the Grey Box. It also has SECURITY UNLOCKED on top. It says all this too.

RAPH800 MFG
SPL-0.25. C-SSPL
MicroP-Raph (LED) v0C85
MicroP-Raph (KEY) v0685
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20

4. I checked the format of the storage card and its already set to FAT 32.

I'm confused...

I also unziped the unlocker on the SD card. It still takes me to that menu. So I try to see the bootloader screen and it shows that im still locked.

Re: unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

theres only 3 things that can happen that makes this not work.
1.) file is in a folder (some people make a folder and call it root this is wrong)
2.) sd card really isn't fat 32 usually people see fat and assume its fat 32/the format is corrupted
3.) you are running encryption on your card. (use a card reader on your pc if all the files end in .menc this is the case)
