Im a noobie at doing this what should i do

i have a verizon toucj pro and i want to put a the best rom for this phone on here. i already know how to unlock i just need help with flashing wi

Flashing is the SAME as unlocking. Make SURE you unlock first. Find a rom you like( I suggest Mighty MIkes Mighty ROM) then download the file,save to your desktop, then connect your phone via active sync, then run the file, if you get confused or still arent sure go to this thread ;

If you are a verizon customer, scroslers ROM's and Kitchens are very friendly to the Gimped phone that we get. As far as who's rom is best, that is a matter of preference. There are a lot of good Chefs on this site.

I have a pretty extensive written procedure for flashing with scroslers rom if you are interested. PM me and I can give you the details.

Croslers ROM are good no doubt........ but I would have to lean towards lllboredlll's customs Verizon Roms or kitchen for performance and am also using Silence 4 as my "featured" Rom , either of those kick @$$ imo.

Flashing ROMs varies by the creator so you really need to decide whos ROM you are leaning towards and them we can help from there. Unless your wanting to cook your own, but I would suggest saving that for further down the road after you get the hang of flashing.

Yes i have this on my desktop and in the directions number 3. says something about putting the ruu something something. does this i mean i take the ruu folder in the rom i got (ssk 1.5) and put it in the ruu folder from when i extracted the flashing zip?

Reaper, you are mixing and matching your chefs and directions. ssk 1.5 is scroslers rom, but you are trying to follow another persons directions. bad plan. If you downloaded something from ssk, then you will have everything you need to flash, its just how to use it that is the question.

I sent him a PM with instructions, but no reply yet. I'm assuming he got one of Scott's prebuilt roms, but the 1.5 part made me think he downloaded a kitchen with no build..

You've pretty much run the "chef gauntlet" and flashed everthing right?
