I had to throw 4 gigs of RAM in my work laptop to make Vista tolerable. Running under 7 now all that RAM makes it super-smooth. My overall resource utilization at idle under 7 is approximately 30-40% lower than under Vista -- and considering all the interface and other "under the hood" changes they've made with 7, that's an impressive accomplishment. I've even started running 7 on my "play" laptop (which only has 2GB RAM) and it's better than my work laptop was running Vista with 4GB.

Honestly...there's no reason anyone should have to suffer through Vista anymore. As it stands, I'm thinking Win7 may finally be the "XP killer" that M$ desperately wanted Vista to be (but failed to be oh-so-miserably).

Is there a quick way to remove the double contact search, when I start typing a contacts name in to: it searches right under the two and also brings up the same contact at the bottom of the screen, I have noticed this with the 800 series roms...
