This 100 times easier to do it grooves way..

Just add the line to your reg tweaks...

I will have to agree, never thought of doing it that way.

But since I already know how to do it, the way I do it is easier for me.

Bump. Mystery, I tried your method and successfully rebuilt a XIP, but after flashing it, in About, it still says "by Calkulin", and in Device Information, it's still "Calkulin's v4.6 WWE."

Thanks for the tips, by the way.

Did you finish all the steps including making a ROM folder?
Also in to change what it says in device information go here:
OEMFolder>OEMVERSION>mxipupdate_zzPIED_100.provxml

Yeah, I made the ROM folder. It just re-extracted my payload though, and it still says "by Calkulin."

?!

I did everything exactly as you outlined: extract xip from payload, dump xip, edit boot_ms.rgu, realloc P, write maps, build xip_out.bin, insert xip into ROM...

Do you have MSN?

Update; nevermind. I pressed Port; wasn't supposed to. p:

Thanks for all the help.
