Newbie Here ROM Choices

Hey guys, new to the forum new to flashing to a cooked rom on my TP. Ive come down to three

scrosler
Juicy
mightyROM

Are either of these easier for a first timer? Im liking the juicy rom and the scrosler. I know this type of thread is done to death but any insight would be great!

It really depends on which phone you have...

Do you have Verizon's? or Sprints?

IF you have verizons you won't run Mighty's too well... yer best bet is running scrosler's or juicy's

If you have sprint's... choose whatever!

Re: Newbie Here ROM Choices

Wait a little bit longer and Juicy should have a new ROM out. From the sounds of it, it should be AWESOME!

Mike's ROM is also another good choice with different color themes and a basic fast ROM.

Give all three of them a shot and see what one runs the best for your needs! I use scroslers rom and love it.

Re: Newbie Here ROM Choices

ok one last question, ive already unlocked the phone now im following this guide on how to flash your touch pro http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=43266 , ive got up to here:
1.download the ruu.zip attachment
2.unzip to your desktop
3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)

on step 3 i am a little lost, i have these files in juicys rar:
Custom_RUU.exe
ModelID.fig
PagePool_Changer.exe
RUU_signed.nbh

if i just need to copy the ruu_signed file what are the other 3 files for?

some cooks already have the RUU directory when u download.

if you downoaded a single file then thats the one u need to drop into that folder.

I run Mighty's rom just fine on my Verizon TP!!!
What I suggest is you reduce the pagepool to 12 to make up for the lack of ram....
There is a tool in the mightyrom pkg that allows you to do this!
Once I did the VzwTP ran MMR perfectly and is as solid as a rock!

Re: Newbie Here ROM Choices

I too would suggest either MightyROM or Juciy's. They are both really good. MightyROM does have more color choices.
