Re: TP2 Manilla!! Possible to port a gsm rom to cdma?
I know that it isn't advisable for ripping the oem but the rom is very VERY fast without touchflo 3d ripped. Personally I would like to see what makes this rom so fast without even touching touchflo 3d itself. That is a lot more important to me. So I would love to personally see instructions on a rom rip for a few reasons (not just that rom specifically)
I know that there will be an unbelievable rom just for the gsm model tp and I would like to rip it to see if I can port it to cdma. It looks amazing and it will bring new life to the touch pro...and I would prefer using that rom (beta to be released) than nrgz's rom... but specifically to nrgz's rom, many have said that the keyboard lag is not an issue in this rom as well as other things. So I am impressed by it already Last edited by Noir; 03-07-2009 at 11:27 AM. |

Re: TP2 Manilla!! Possible to port a gsm rom to cdma?
Just to give you all a heads up, TP2 is nearly complete. I myself have been allowed to view the files from several ROM's and continue to see progress, one thing is for sure they have all done an awsome job and deserve much gratitude. The notifications is amazing big icons especially alarm and calendar. The only thing I've seen that is still in need of edits is the phone canvas, but this is not as important as the manila files . Just a insight some GSM ROM's have the TP2 and you can extract the manila files which will work for some, but you may get resetting TouchFlo3D in some tab selecting. But I enjoy the G sensor alot, as much as the new clean TP2 look.
Just know I've begun theme modding with my partner Showaco from XDA. Be Safe & God Bless

so is there even a short tutorial of what you used to extract at least some of the tweaks from gsm roms? Its not for nrgz's rom its for quite a few roms running well enough and put our cdma tp to shame... |

I too would like to know as also i was reading all the good reviews about this rom and its speed. I was hoping one of the talented chefs would attempt to dissect it and port it to CDMA |
