Noob Needing Help Flashing Rom

Hey guys, I finally got my phone unlocked, but now I am having a 260 error when trying to flash the new rom. Before running bootloader mode I made sure the active sync was on and that I had full connection via usb/computer. But as soon as I run bootloader mode it completely disconnects me from active sync thus the 260 error. Help is appreciated
