I didnt think searching the thread for the first question would work since this thread's been going for several versions of the ROM.

Dont mean to snap bro, but theres a link to a guide on every rom page that guides you to flashing your rom. Applications are interchangable. NOT ROMS. You'll jack your phone up. Keyboard storage coard, tv out, other things are different.

and when you search the thread, it always gives you the latest post first. Gives the date as well. I was more referring to the guy that used your excuse the page before. You just said the same thing like 5 minutes later. "cant squeeze 150 pages at 8AM"

I edited my weather database with the older weather database editor and now my tf 2 resets when I select a country to add a city. Is there any fix?

Thanks for this. Strange thing happened. I was unable to overwrite the file initially, but then realized I probably needed to unload touch flo. When i did that i went into the windows directory and deleted the file, at which time it immediately was recreated as the original. I don't know why but thought it was interesting enough to share. My weather works properly now.

Whenever i get on the weather tab, it restarts tflo3d. I already installed the cab for the text message fix. Also, I cannot remove programs that i got back from my sprite backup except the ones that came with the device.

Hey, I'm trying to upgrade to Office Mobile 2007 but I cannot do it. I'm told that I have to uninstall the current version of Office Mobile. I went to the Remove Programs option on my phone and there was no Office Mobile or anything of the like on there. In fact, I cannot see how to access Word, Excell or any of the office programs period. Was it cooked into this ROM? If so, how do I get rid of it?

I'm assuming that you mean 21501; so far we only have the main packages. DPI and LANG are still old, and I'm having activesync issues.

I'm hoping to have something by Saturday... if I miss Saturday deadline it will be next week.

Just leave it the way it is. I used one of the temporary fixes out there and I haven't had a problem with it.....however I still don't trust it enough to use as an alarm. Hopefully xmods will come out with an official fix soon.

Please leave as is, the work-arounds do work and the alarms work too. Just do the fixes before you import your appointments.
Thanks for asking Juicy, I'm still blown away by the performance of 090405H but look forward to your future latest and greatest!

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but is this new release gonna include Manila or the 6.5 interface? or will there be some kind of choice? I just feel that that 6.5 interface is counterproductive and everything is just prettied up which in effects makes it a slower build.

As mentioned already, might be best to leave it alone and let the user choose. To resolve the problem, you might have it go nowhere. I personally prefer G-Alarm, I don't think there is a better alarm program out there, just make it uninstallable so that it can be upgraded easier. But for those that don't like G-Alarm it might be best to go nowhere and let them change it.

+1 G-Alarm

Ok, did some more searching on PPC and still haven't found any answers. So with the new release I'm only left with two issues:

1. Weather tab does not work. It restarts touch flo when I click on it. I have deleted the manilla file that contains the database and that allows me to open the tab again. But once I select a city and try to download data, it screws up again.

2. Active sync connects in a way, but can't sync. I can move files back and forth and charge, but it won't sync contacts and such.

Thanks for an awesome rom Juicy

Switching to windows default sounds like the logical solution until the new world clock version is available.

I have been running the 0405 release since it came out, and the ringtone bug just started yesterday, any suggestions on how to fix this, I can live with the standard winmo ringtone, but I am getting no vibrate, or ringing regardless of what is selected. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a variety of fixes out there, but my favorite is to replace the database with one that only has the US cities. I found one that works with TF3D2 over at XDA. Here is the link: Weather

Note that with this database you need to change where it downloads your weather from by changing an entry in the registry. For ease of use, I perform these changes automatically through user customization (UC) when I flash a new ROM. Not sure if these will work when the new 6.5 gets put out, but here are the lines in the SDConfig.txt file and provxml files that perform those functions.

SSConfig.txt:
Quote:

CPY1:\Storage Card\Config\ToCopy\2330fc3c_manila
CPY2:\Windows\2330fc3c_manila
XML: \Storage Card\Config\XML\Weather.xml
You need to adjust the paths above to the path where you will keep your files for install (in bold)

Proxml file I called Weather.xml:
Quote:

<wap-provisioningdoc>
<characteristic type="Registry">
<characteristic type="HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila">
<parm name="Weather.Fahrenheit" value="1" datatype="integer"/>
<parm name="Weather.CurrentCity" value="1" datatype="integer"/>
<parm name="LaunchCounter" value="1" datatype="integer"/>
<parm name="LastLaunch" value="AAbq0GCzyQE=" datatype="binary"/>
<parm name="Weather.CityList" value="NAM|US|VA|MANASSAS" datatype="string"/>
<parm name="Weather.ServerURLOverride" value="http://weather.not2advanced.com/htcw...ice=innovation" datatype="string"/>
<parm name="Weather.PostFirstRun" value="1" datatype="integer"/>
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
<characteristic type="FileOperation">
<characteristic type="Delete">
<parm name="ForceDelete" value="\Application Data\HTC\databases\forecast_cache.db" translation="install" />
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>
You may not need all these entries, but having them has always worked for me. You will need to change the city to your city in "<parm name="Weather.CityList" value="NAM|US|VA|MANASSAS" datatype="string"/>" (or not, you can change it after you install)

Try going to Settings-All Settings-Connections-USBtoPC and making sure the "Enable faster data synchronization" is not checked and that "Activesync" is checked. I also like to have the one that says "Ask me first..." checked as well, that way I have the option when I first connect.

Syncing contacts also requires that you have Outlook set-up on your computer I believe. I don't use that feature so I'm not positive.

Leave it as is. It works fine once you select your city and change the time. No need for an extra program on the device imho.

Haven't tried the weather fix yet, but thanks very much. I did try the usb-pc settings and that didn't work. Something else that I've found this morning is that my alarm doesn't work. First time to use it since I installed Juicy. The icon displays on the notification bar, but no sound. I did verify that the sound does work on the phone, just not for the alarm. Now I did install galarm and I remember it asking me to fix the windows issue. I told it yes, fix it. So I don't know if that did something. But, I uninstalled galarm just to see if it would fix it and it didn't. Thanks for the help so far.

the issue occurs when you go into world clock (not the normal clock settings). When you go into the settings for world clock it's going to do one of two things:
1. change the current time on your phone by a hour
or
2. change all of your future appointment/event start & end times by a hour.

Here is the fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...93531&page=252

There is another fix out there which is to install the app g alarm.

Just my .02 , the previous realease works better for me than this one. When I receive a text, I click the screen to reply and it reinstalls TouchFLO, I've reloaded this Rom a number of times and it keeps giving me problems so I went back the previous release. The previous release works flawless.
