quick question have anyone notice when install NUE battery driver; your battery meter does not go to 100%, is there a correct way to calibrate? Also did anyone background change due to the FIM app. just asking taught it was a combonation of things installed

This is normal. Batteries lose efficiency over time. Even at creation, it is probably around 99%. The driver changes the measure to be by single % as opposed to rounding. When you measure with more granularly, these sort of things come to light.

I believe that it's just a know issue with the nue driver and it's accuracy over 90%. Even if a Lithium battery looses efficiency, it will show itself at 100%.
The Temperature at which a Lithium Ion battery is functioning @ has the greatest impact on its lifespan.
Take my MacBookPro, for instance. I've done a fair amount of HD video watching and, cummulatively, a month or two worth of video transcoding. Basically, it's run quite hot for an extended period of time on several occasions. I've had it for over 2 years and it can't deliver enough power for web browsing so I have to leave it plugged in
.
So... Unless you've been running WMWifiRouter for hours on end(3G->wifi), while downloading from Usenet, with the phone plugged in, it is very much unlikely that it is you battery.

Our Li-ion Batteries: facts
1. Li-ion batteries last between 300-500 deep cycles (from 0% to 100%).
2. Partial recharges are good. A partial recharge from ~25% to ~75% is less damaging than a recharge from 0-100%, and only counts (roughly) as around 1/4 of the impact of a deep cycle. Li ion technology has no charge memory effect, which means that the battery capacity is completely unaffected by partial charging (n.b. this is NOT the case for NiCad or NiMH technology).
3. Li-ion batteries also decay at a constant rate over time, dependent on temperature, and regardless of use. They lose around 20% capacity per year at 25C, but this is increased at higher temperatures. Shelf life is optimised by keeping unused batteries at 6C (fridge temp) and with ~40% charge. But do not freeze them!
4. 100% charge causes accelerated decay rates. So keep your battery below full charge.
5. Deep cycle the battery occasionally (~once per 30 charges), to recalibrate your charge meter. Otherwise the charge level shown will become inaccurate.
6. Key advantage for Co chemistry is high energy density - up to 200mWh/g. Key disadvantage is the charge/discharge limit, which is ~1.2 coulomb.
7. Conclusion is that you can expect your Diamond battery to last for ~3 yrs of hard daily use. If you take care of it, it will last for double that time.

I have a question...I had an HTC Touch Pro with Sprint and I had it modded with The Juicy 8 ROM recently due to moving into a new house and not getting any cellphone reception with Sprint, I switched to a different carrier and gave my Touch Pro to a friend of mine that still has Sprint. But now she is telling me after 3 days of trying she cannot activate the Touch Pro into her name, number, and account. Sprint Tech support can't figure it out also they told me that the phone just will not cooperate...does anyone know why this is??? and what I should do about it??? or is the phone tits up for good since it's not mine anymore???

Wait, did she take it in somewhere and show them the phone with a custom ROM? You should always reflash a stock ROM and relock before taking it to Sprint...

Yea, you should have, here is a link to the stock ROM for Sprint:
http://rapidshare.com/files/16742399...p.exe.zip.html

After that is flashed, relock it with the Raphael_CDMA_Relocker.zip.

also after you do the reflash back to stock have her or yourself call on a land line to activate it. It should work that way they can walk you thru the programming an dafter if she want juicy 8 back then revert your locking process and put juicy 8 back

All you do is Download the rom, Extract it, and Rename that .RUU_signed file to RAPHIMG , place it on the main part of your sd and flash.

I'm a super noob but I believe there is a sticky on the Touch Pro Upgrade Forum that allows you to relock the phone via the Sd card. Is this what you are referring to?

Yeah I know but when I attempt to extract the Ruu_signed.nbh file on my phone using PocketRar it gives me a <cac failed to extract error> (something like that), and my work computers don't have WinRar. I was just hoping there was a kind soul who might post it for me. Help in any way is much appreciated.

Hotel internet is so damn slow! Love my juicy rom with the sweet slick HTC internet sharing! Watching some anime on crunchyroll, updated my facebook, and wrote this post with my blazing fast EVDO phone wifi (okay, maybe not blazing fast, but compared to the gratis hotel internet, this is stuff is light speed).

I love Juicy's roms!

It would be highly appreciated because I love this rom to death. It was my FIRST rom I cooked when I got my pro. I have tried removing the memory card and deleting the youtube folder time after time after and still Cannot play Video. With the emulation problem I just dont know what to do. I cant even get the NES games to work right. Someone please help me before I make my switch to another rom.

I just tried it and it works fine. I didn't bother downloading the RAR to my device from the Internet, but simply copied it over from my laptop to save me the hassle just for testing purposes. But once it was on my SD card I was able to open it with Pocket Rar and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file to another folder on the SD card.

Might you have a corrupt RAR?

The corrupt RAR msg. happened when I downloaded Juicy's rapidshare RAR, then I went to the FAST MIRROR on pg. 735 and it seemed to download fine. I downloaded all of these to my \ROM etc.\ folder on the root of the sd, I am using the evdo connection on my phone because it is mush faster than my work net, 1.5mb to 600kb. Am I just going about this wrong or is it PocketRar. Reattempting as we speak, this time full error reads.

Juicy_8_090723H.rar: CRC failed in RUU_signed.nbh. The file is corrupt.

Is a redownload necessary or....? Thanks for the help.

So I've been having this reoccurring problem, it has happened with Mighty, Juicy, and DCD roms. My problem is something like this. It is spectacular for a while then after about a week or so my phone starts to lock up and I have to run CleanRAM every time I do something. This has happened pretty consistently. I thought it may be some of the cabs I have installed. I'll list them down below. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this and if so how to fix it.

Mobile Shell
Resco explorer
Garmin
Microsoft My Phone
Pocket Player
Advanced Config

Try making your changes, whatever they may be, (just changes the registry) then uninstall it.

hmmm, i tried plugging them in and unplugging again, but its still there. I generally dont use the headset... just my cars bluetooth handsfree system.

i remember in previous juicy builds the notification would display when it was toggled on, and the pop up would have a "dismiss" softkey, but now both softkeys are blank, but still clickable. it just goes right back to the notification tray though.

We'll, seeing as I am going to get NO support from ANYONE here about the JuicyRom...(which is still fantastic). I think I will try Silence rom because his comes with emulators and working youtube or maybe even the Mighty and Silence rom because I am sure that if Silence's stand alone rom will run snes and sega then his and mighty's must as well. It was great being with Juicy's rom and I thank you again Juicy.
