Question Verizon CDMA radio upgrade?
have found MULTIPLE radios for Touch Pro...

but none seem to work on my Verizon model.

the little info i can find suggest the VZW Touch Pro is not upgradeable...

does anyone out there have any insight on the matter?

Verizon HTC Touch Pro (CDMA Raphael)
SSK 1.5 R4R
|||bored||| GPS FIX 2.0
VZW stock radio 1.03.03

no error message...
desktop RUU installer says 'installed successfully'...
then phone goes from eboot to my normal screen.

blackstone and quartz radios found on CDMA Raphael XDA forums.
various versions.

when i check Radio ROM version during boot and in 'settings/system' is still says 1.03.03... stock ROM.

i have tried flashing using both RUU installed and SD flash... both work exactly as intended and both complete 'successful'.

IF it is flashing properly... how can i confirm?

Aren't Blackstone and Quartz GSM phones? Have you tried the Telus radio or Sprint radio in the radio thread here at PPC Geeks?

the thread i was getting them from on xda was a CDMA forum...

but, used a Sprint ROM from PPC thread and worked like a champ!

I installed Sprint Radio V1.11.00F R on my TP with no problems at all.

update:

tried a couple of the Sprint ROM... including the 1.11

flashed fine. could see correct ROM version in settings and on boot.

but GPS was junk. HTC GPS Tool would freeze at 38sec after finding only 2 satellites.
would have to use reset on bottom of phone... *sigh*
TOM TOM would never find a signal.

tried reprogramming phone... no help.
tried reappling GPS fix... no help.

reflashed original VZ 1.03.03 vR.
GPS and TOM TOM ops check normal.
