**side note**
I was tracking him through Kansas City, and told him he could save some hours if he went I70 to Vegas instead of I40. I followed him on trackme and gave him turn by turn directions on backroads to get back to I70. That was so awesomely cool!
Cool cool.....

I planned on having a "library" section on my new site.....

It will contain all my favorite links of knowledge. Im not an organized person so this will be a WIP. It will also have readme and PDF's of stuff that I will write. Users will be able to contribute. I sorta want to do something like an XDA wiki. Not sure if you guys use XDA or not but thats where I learned from DCD. Good place to hang out if you are hardcore. those guys make me feel silly at times though Serisous, there is some genuis over there... Here too.... But those guys are some HTC devs... not just guys off the street like me and you.

ISM integrated service module- from what little I've read so far its for application acceleration.

OR

it may have something to do with the VPN piece.... or POS.... depending on how you view it

It can be..... but not by a standard user.

hell, I wouldnt be able to do it without atleast $4,000 in soldering equipment and I am ISO certified. Might as well just buy a new phone.

I spent a week on XDA absorbing post after post. There was just too much over my head, and I needed a starting point. There were enough links to here, that I decided to follow the trail of bread crumbs. I was glad I did. The support and willingness to help noobs here is superb and it got me truly hooked. I have a very difficult time following my own advice and take baby steps, but I've been doing well here (especially with Phattooth's help). If somebody told me 2 weeks ago that I'd be helping people on this stuff, I'd have called them morons.

As far as organization goes I do fairly well with that stuff. I generally create all my own PDF's because I don't trust links (especially to forum threads/posts).

It is a desktop app... I don't fool w/complex registry editing via WM, though I do use Resco for some things. I also use WinMerge-- desktop too-- for comparing folder snaps from Resco Bacup. SKTracker will tell you whats changed, yes, but these programs actually create the components I use with Sashimi; ie, diff .reg and folder hierarchy with differences. I then just dump these results into the Sashimi folders as described in the post back a ways.

This essentially allows me to abstract my application and settings space from the WM OS space, and so I can recreate my custom environment on any "WM ROM," as its independent of OS (as long as the registry keys are supported, and they usually are.)

IMHO, latest Resco Backup is MUCH better than SKTracker for analyzing file and registry changes, etc. When Resco finally wakes up and incorporates these features and a dump function in the desktop tool, it'll be all that's needed for this abstraction method.

scott
I was away for a few weeks and come back to a boatload of new roms.
I am currently using your 1.2 Deluxe Edition.
What is tweaked and better in your 21015 build or your WM 21159 build.

Thanks
Joe

I also will not do the porting.... I like the safety net as you described. These damn things are expensive....

Shiot yeah!

I did get a DEAL(?) on my diamond... I think.... We got two phones the diamond and my wife got a treo 800w. All together after tax is was a just over $400. My phone in store was 200 and hers was 150. I tried to get her to get a diamond but she wants the keyboard. She wont even think of a pro. I tried. Atleast she is finally WinMo Pro instead of standard!

That sounds like a good deal to me... why wouldn't she go for a TP from Sprint; it's the same as a Diamond w/KB?
