i installed scott's default r4r manila and had the same add/remove issue. will this resolve the problem as well?

EDIT: just installed and rebooted. didn't seem to do anything... are all the installed programs supposed to just magically re-appear in the "add/remove program" after installing this cab?

no they wont re-appear, but they will appear now when something is installed.

To overcome this issue (in my Rhodium TP2), I used SKTools as my add/remove programs. As stated earlier, Xbox's new policy fixed this issue.

Anyone having this same issue. I really like this build but I guess I'll switch if I can't figure it out.

Whats up guys. Does anybody know the file name of the list view selector? I dont know if I'm naming it correctly but its the selector when you are making a call and you can scroll down through your recent calls list. I have one that the color looks great with the black background and I want to see if I can just throw it in there without having to change the whole theme of the device.

Its actually the selector from a win 6.5 theme. I want to try to just import the selector into my 6.1.

Attached is the file. Any ideas?

First off, Why would you need more than 42 Megs free? Most apps don't require more than 20...

but, making a stripped ROM isn't hard, you just need to know what you use...

You can pretty much NOT install certain SYS files, OEM Files, and grab a customized XIP...

For Example, I don't bother installing S2A as it eats up 10+ megs alone, I use PocketShield which eats up 900KB... much better than 10+ megs going to waste.

but there are tons of other apps you DON'T need especially if you don't use them. like WIndows Live, Voice Command... so on and so forth...

i have read that so many times but whenever i disable it it only recovers like 4 or 5 megs

When the dialer fully loads it takes more than 5 megs... you can see it after an incoming call... It also takes forever to load...

IF... you have a BIG enough Pagepool this may be transparent but VZW users don't have that luxury.

Yep. Don't load Windows Live or Voice Command, but Pocket Shield costs money....at the moment I have nobe (as in less than $1, no paycheck until Tuesday or Wednesday).

No landscape in TF3d: I had this problem when trying any manilla HD option (I think it happened with Rhodium Manilla as well). I switched to Scott's R4R and landscape is back.

I installed the 21042 Basic ROM from your site and it's real fast. However, there's a problem with my text messages not being sent. After doing some testing, it seems that when creating a new message, typing in the name for the "To" box, then selecting the contact name from the bottom of the screen, the "To" address appears as the number "2" after sending. If a name is punched into the "To" box and the contact name is selected from the short list near the top instead, the message will send okay to the recipient. Hope this makes sense. I also did a hard reset after flashing and didn't do anything else to it. I'd actually like to try your B2B and R4R releases instead, but can't find them on the SSKUsers site. Sorry, I should add that whenever messages appear with the number "2" as the recipient in the sent list, the message isn't sent, and the "2" isn't a speed dial number or anything either.

Before we can help, we need to know what ROM, OS, Type of Ht3D, carrier, etc that you are using.

It's probably crashing because you don't have a SYS and ROM folder in the kitchen. You need to download the OS of your choice from Scott's Page and copy those two folders into the kitchen and then everything should work fine.

If you were trying to add cities, there is a problem.

Try using HTC Weather Master 2.0 Rhodium (beta) located here -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480101

This may solve your problem.

Before starting make sure that you have TF3D turned off and do a soft reset.
-Delete the My device/Application Data/HTC/databases/forecast_cache.db file BEFORE you use the weather tab. If you still have a problem with weather then use the file "2330fc3c_manila.zip" below to overwrite the manila file in the windows directory using Total Commander.
-Now go into settings and turn on TF3D.

this may have been asked before, but i wasn't able to find any reference to it. i have this lockup issue with the SMS. when i type in letters, the keyboard at the bottom of the screen will suggest certain addresses/phone #'s from my exchange contacts. however, the moment i type in another letter that does not match any of my existing contacts, the SMS program (pocket outlook) seems to lockup the phone completely. do people know what's going on?

i'm using SSK 1.6A cooked with build 21042. i remember also checking the ArcSoft MMS program in the kitchen.

I have no solution for you. My only thought is to be patient. Depending on the list of contacts, when it starts searching for a contact with that particular, it might take a while before it gets to the end of the list and let's you proceed. The only other thought it try unchecking the box (I think in Messaging - might be in INput) that says 'autocomplete"..

If you are using Rhodium, TP2, there is an issue with SMS. Go to http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61809 There are either 1 or 2 fixes for the SMS problem.
