jakdillard this is a great ROM. Super clean, very fast, absolutely my favorite yet. My one complaint, no Ramdom Access, which I love for finding phone number while driving.

Any chance you can include it in the next version (if there is a next version) or do you happen to have a VGA Random Access cab, as I cannot find one.

Re: se7en 1-29-08

It puts letters down the right side of your Contact list to quickly go to those people in your contacts. Great program, this is the only TP ROM i have seen that does not have it.

How is battery life. I am a big fan of JD's roms! (Thanks JD), but for some reason the last few have been a battery killer for me.

+1 on the battery life. Mine improved a great deal after putting this ROM on.

The whole ROM works great for me. I flash my phone a LOT, but this one has pleased me better than the others. It's a super good ROM.

It's the standard black and white tf3d look and the standard taskbar.

The only thing that is missing on this ROM for me is the ability to highlight multiple messages such as emails. Is there a workaround for this?

Is there any way that I can highlight all the messages by dragging my finger down or using my stylus?

http://www.sendspace.com/file/ifo3sm this is a major overhaul to the original se7en it kinda takes away the custom functionality and give more of a stock feel without being stock .... I have updated the hell out of all of the apps included and reverted some to the original stock settings ... you lose the hd contact tab and the background hack but you gain a much faster responsive manila ... most of the hacks that were included can be found here or xda and it should be VZW compatible now too ... changes can be found on the first page

i have been running an OEM ROM that i have tweaked to the best of my ability and it has worked well up until 2 days ago. for whatever reason it will lock up and i will have no idea until i go to use it. i am hoping v7.2 will work for me as flashing roms can be addicting but a pain at the same time. i hate losing my text threads.

will the slide to answer cab (white from juggalo) mess up your manila?

Re: se7en 1-29-08

one issue so far, when in the sounds control menu in TF3D you cannot select anything below ringtone. you can with your finger but not using the d-pad.

**edit**
i just wanted to clarify, i posted this your JD's knowledge and not to complain. i hate it when ppl post they are not going to use a ROM unless he fixes some issue. i like JD's approach of making ROMs that suit him and his purose for that ROM and not to please all. i just about have everything setup now and will begin to go through my normal routine to see if i find anything. so far i like it. looks nice and simple.

I have not been able to reproduce that issue or maybe I do not understand completely what you are posting but anyway are you using the tf3d that came in the rom or another? also is anyone else having this?

tom6433 02-05-2009 09:53 PM

Re: se7en 1-29-08

i am using the tf3d that the rom came with. from home slide over to settings, select sounds, then use the d-pad to hit down. it will go down the list and highlight everything until ringtone. pressing down after highlighting ringtone will make the highlight disappear. a few more presses and it will reappear at the top. like i said, it is not a big deal but i thought you might want to know about it.

why would you want to? all it does is let you install java apps.

I think people still don't get that when something is cooked into a ROM, it doesn't take up any real resources on the device unless you run it...

I understand that just fine. It's the version of java I don't particularly care for. The font is WAY too small for some of the programs I use.

has anyone added a call history tab to this? i follwed the directions here but it freezes the phone once i navigate to the call history tab. it will work if i install the call history tab cab but i think it changes something else in manila b/c the call contacts list looks different.

**edit**
i added the edited 2698339 file if someone wants to take a look at it. i did not attach it but i did also copied over the required 1d1ee632 from the above link. the only time i have been able to get this to work was with a different JD ROM, not sure which one, but the 1d133632 was already in the windows folder. it seems when i have to add the one from the link above it does not work.

i also attached a modified 090661f7 to fix the favorite people soft button from Contact to Contacts if anyone wants it.

**edit 2**
is there a setting or fix for marking text msgs as read when you reply to the msg while in the thread? for example, i am texting my wife back and forth so i am just staying in our thread. if i stay in the thread and get a new msg and then reply to it the ring still flashes and the notification at the top stays there. if i go back to the all msgs screen the top notification will go away but the ring still flashes. in order to get teh ring to stop flashing i have to view the msg in tf3d.
