Radio Concern
Hi all,
I upgraded form a Tytn to a Raphael, paid the full price so kept my Tytn which works great as a PPC with a GPS of course. I like it a lot because the radio I got on xda-dev works really great, I get a location within 30 [edit: SECONDS / not minutes] rather than five minutes. Anyway, at my own surprise, the initial radio firmware on my Telus HTC Pro was GPS-enabled - but it takes around 3-5 minutes to get my location AND for some reason with the Juicy rom my youtube apps loads videos at a miserable speed (fast with the stock firmware). So now I'm thinking about updating my radio and have a few questions: 1) That must be a stupid one but can I use any CDMA radio or it has to be the Telus one which I naturally assume and limits me to an option only. 2) Any chance this bricks my GPS? 3) Does this affect data as well? Do I have chances of fixing my data problem? 4) How hard is it to dump my own radio first to make sure I can go back to this one if the updated one is simply worst - I haven't seen it anywhere on here. Thanks in advance - if anyone has a HTC Touch Pro with Telus and did install the radio in this thread (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ighlight=radio) which is 1.04.05 I'd appreciate if you could share your experience. I personally have 1.03 right now. I looked at the posts in msot threads, I admit I didn't do a very indept research as I lack time, so any help is appreciated.
