Re: 6.5 roms and Juicy's 4.7 rom
so what's the deal with juicy 4.7? I guess I missed all the drama around this ROM... why was it removed and why is it so fast?

There's nothing "special" about the ROM except the fact that is has no issues.

Re: 6.5 roms and Juicy's 4.7 rom
Guys, I think we're missing something here. Please get off the build #'s, that's not exactly what makes the entire ROM, it is a key part, but not everything. The cook is, and I'll tell you why.
You can download the same build number from multiple chefs, and none of them will function the same, though they might have similarities. Here's the deal. Juicy is a well informed, well knowledge chef who just doesn’t drop in a build and say okay I got a new Build #. He tweaks the core 1st before adding visuals and other things to it. His bases are all solid with great optimizations to caching, video drivers, etc. It’s not just a build update and bam its done, and I think that's where people are getting confused. Anyone can make their own ROM, but unless they know how to dissect it to make it better, then that will separate the real chefs from the ones in training. I'm not dissing or throwing anyone down, but you can tell Juicy's work is very through and why you will use a ROM of his with the same build # as someone else, but it will run smoother because of the extra optimizations and changes he's done. Take it like this. I can install XP on a computer, give someone the same CD and they can install XP on a different computer with the same specs and install the same software. If I do msconfig changes, turn off un-needed services and tweak other things, my XP will run faster, even though we have same version, same system, same software. That is kind of like what Juicy is compared to myself in making ROM's.

Ya, personally I'm getting kinda tired of seeing 50 different "cooks" claiming they're "developers" by just copying and pasting crap around from kitchen to kitchen. Juicy obviously knows what he's doing because I can see a clear difference in this ROM and it's the closest to the awesome speed I've seen since I had the fuze... I sure miss those GSM ROMs, those guys def know what they're doing over at xda. Anyways, sorry to hear juicy got the bad wrap... by far the best and fastest CDMA ROM I've used... I'll probably be happy with this until 6.5 stuff comes out, and hopefully juicy will come back to developing. |

I was merely stating that all the ROM's I've used based off of the 21109 base haven't been that great. |
