Re: ++30 Jan 09++ SSK 1.4B2 OUT! See OP! [VZW] SSK 1.2 - {CE OS 21109} Kitchen and RO

if you want to disable the HTC dialer, there is a cab on XDA that will disable the HTC volume control and give you back the standard winmo bubble with the volume sliders. This fixes the ability to change volume during a call. Thats how I run mine.

There is more benefit than just the 9-10 MB more ram, you also get faster boot up, and more importantly, less time between when someone dials you and when your phone actually starts ringing.

I tested this with my wife calling me and my phone starts to ring one full ring sooner on her end with the htc dialer disabled.

I run S2U2 both for the screen lock function (was really annoying every time the screen wakes up on an sms and then random stuff getting tapped with the phone in its holster), and also for the slide to answer which works just like the htc slide to answer but with the huge ram savings and also more stabilty.
