This was always something that was available, is it the ROM or my device?

Thanks in advance.

"Choice" is a pretty stripped down ROM... more than likely Scott just removed that functionality in that version.... If you really like/need it, you may want to try "Standard".

When I was testing the standard version I noticed that this feature comes back. If you cook your own and put all the HTC stuff back in it will also work again! With both of those the operation of the "SYM" key on the physical keyboard comes back!

The Choice ROM is for those that want a stripped down ROM and can deal with out having all of those functions. If you really want it back I would suggest what Phattooth said....try the standard or cook in the HTC stuff.

Maybe when I restored I used the wrong settings

There are quite a few options to restore

Has anyone messed with which settings works the best in Sprite?

Thanks for getting back to me phattooth.

of course!
You can always get exactly what you want if you cook your own with the kitchen! ;)

I've been tinkering with it, but I am not exactly sure how to cook my own ROM, seems rather easy from what I've read. Any quick pointers?

To be honest with you, i always get "funky-ness" when i restore with sprite... i have just gone to using SDconfig. that works like a champ for doing all the installs i need after a fresh flash. you should really look into, once you use it, you'll wonder why you never did before, i promise you that!

It is removed from the Choice ROm. I would actually recommend you try the Kitchen. It is very user friendly and you can choose what you want in the ROM. I think the portion that you are looking for is part of the HTC Keyboard.

Start off with the OEMs that are provided. First get used to using the BuildOS. This is the section where you select what you want in the ROM. Once you have checked everything you want press the play button at the top of the screen and let it run. After it finishes, just click on File and close BuildOS. The kitchen will do the rest.

You guys are the best! Seriously, thanks for the quick help! I've been to other sites where people usually bash you when you start asking questions!
