Ok ok ok... I am about to humble myself and ask you all a question about the ROM.


What is the deal with the pop ups not being centered? Other than asthetics its easy for me to hit them up there in the corner. Like when driving...

Is this just somethign new you have not found the value I have? Or is just that annoying to you that you want me to remove that tweak?

Totally up to you guys but try stepping outside of the box just once and go with it... You may just like it.....

Anyways... I am out for a few...

Got a bunch of stuff I need to do...

Just got a 1TB driver at BBY for 99.99 and had some reward zone crap to get it even cheaper.... Been wanting this for a long long time....

That will allow me to remove the two sata druives in my 2003 Enterpise box and move them over to the RAID 0 (2x80) that I have now... That will give me some serious boost in speed.... Meaning I can put out work even FASTER.

Oh and guess what I found out... The screw driver needed to take apart the pro's can be had for $3.49 at Sears....

Guess whats next.... In a few days.... anyways..... Can you guess????? If so show me the love.... I wanna break a thousand thanks before I get to the SSK2.0 Final...


Also on that... Maybe even do it right so I have the option of WInmo 6.1 or winmo 6.5. Would you like that?? Would that be cool? A dual kitchen???? Huh? Tell me... give me some love on the thanks button too....

As a more important and general question, do you think its better to throw my registry mods in via these .provxml files OR make an OEM that contains all my registry changes (.rgu file)...

Is there a file that says which provxml's are to be run... so I could have them all in one file called like "mxipupdate_oemoperators_111.provxml" (next number)

Deleting the Registry entries as indicated above sort of works, but is not quite the default way WM handles things. Just to clarify, the method described above of deleting the two keys will cause the dialog boxes to no longer appear to the left edge just below the title bar. Instead the dialog will appear horizontally centered in an area starting just below the title bar and to the bottom of the screen. This results in dialog boxes sometimes (well, more frequently for sure) being obscured by the keyboard if it is shown. The default ROM uses the settings below which places dialog boxes centered horizontally, but vertically slightly higher on the screen, which I think is a more optimal position.

I was so set in my ways that I initially didn't like it in the upper left corner. Now that I have gotten used to it I prefer it. I tried switching back to center and it drove me nuts! So I had to revert back!

I have been known to check my email one handed and having it in the upper corner makes it easier to hit with my thumb. I think you should leave it as it....then maybe cab up the change and put on SSK online for those who like it in the center.

I am really looking forward to 2.0. One might think I would get tired of flashing and reflashing....but I don't!

The winmo 6.1 and 6.5 think would be the ****!

hey scott,

i actually liked the idea of it at first. i happened to be using my mouse with my right hand and phone tapping with my left, so naturally it was a shorter reach for my thumb. then i realized when i wasn't using the comp, i primarily phone tap with my right hand since i am a righty. i wouldn't even call it an issue - just a preference - i like having it centered so there really isn't a bais for using one hand over the other.

not sure if this is related, but i was installing an adobe flash update and i noticed that the EULA looked a little funky and was shifted towards the upper left corner.

either way, i think it's a really really minor aesthetic issue that was easily solved now that i know which reg values to edit.

I was going to tell you that you could get it at Sears it is a T5 torx. I have one here and a Touch Pro coming via warranty Monday or Tuesday so I may beat you to it. The return button does the right d-pad command the first 5 times I press it. This is the 2nd one I have had since release. The first one right away - right d-pad didn't work. IMO crappy button design being that they aren't seperate and not touch sensitive. Any good sites on other carrier's Touch Pro's (CDMA) tear down to see what to look for if I do go for it? BTW not a bad price on the 1TB HDD. I have a couple of distributors I work with and I should set something up for the PPCGeeks users. I can take paypal and drop ship. I dont know, just thinking...
