i had same problem initially. the live view wouldnt work but it took pictures. i quick reset fixed issue for me :)

Hey xweaponx, Still loving this rom, I only have one request if u dont mind. I use sprint arcsoft (or wutever its called) cuz sprint picture mail sucks, but with this rom i cant get it to work for anything. Would u mind looking into that for me whenever u have time? Thx man and keep up the great work!

What exactly is now displaying? Does the camera initialize? No picture?

I will look into this. I have seen a working version of Sprint Arcsoft on here. Maybe it will work...

lllboredlll has provided me a working Verizon kitchen using my files. I was lazy this weekend and didnt do a d--n thing (well except wash clothes & play Gears 2...)

Let me get back to work, update a few things and I will try to cook something up...

i was using the one bored provided he pmed me it and it works but tf3d is messed up and no customizations ran when it booted up for the first time
the file was missing in the /windows folder
this is by far my favorite rom i love how customized it is! keep up the great work

I've flashed and do believe that this is smoother and faster than the 20764 based ROM.

Try it for yourselves guys...this is another great build.

What attention does it deserve? I doubt that most who load it can get past the hideous graphics. The only good graphic is the splash screen. I regret having loaded this. If there was a way to keep the normal theme, I would keep it loaded. Now I see why there are no screen shots for this. Maybe you could offer 2 forms of this build?

+1 Theres always one diveman. I for one absolutely love the graphics, and the rom itself is very fadt and stable! So thats why the rom deserves more attention, plus the fact its different, its not the same old thing.

ok. to each their own. i was just answering a question about why this rom doesnt get more attention. i am probably saying something that many others are just too affraid to. I dont doubt that functionally, it may be a great rom... unfortunately I will never know since I am one of the ones who is picky about look and feel. this isnt the only rom I dislike the graphics on. I actually hate MOST other roms who mess with the carrier / htc standards. although I have always hated the flip clock crap and the tron box backgrounds. I have yet to see a theme I like better than the sprint one. this is dissapointing too since i know there are a lot of talented people out there when it comes to graphic design. unfortunatly, rarely are they cooks. I DID compliment the splash screen. Anyway... sorry for the seemingly disrespectful comments. As I said, I am betting that it would have been stable / functional... but I need the other part too. I am glad you are all fans.

well for me plain and simple along with fast and functional appeals to me no doubt...it isn't a matter of people being afraid to say something... it's a matter of having a little f'n respect which you obvoisly dont with the first comment you made...everyone has their own desires so there are plenty of choices... it's a matter of preference and if you dont prefer his rom fine... just dont bring that negative crap into peoples thread... just move along to another one that is more appealing to you...


btw... i think the sprint clock is a simple minded POS... so there my opinion differs from yours but that dont make either of us wrong....and last but not least....make your own kitchen if you dislike others so much instead of complaining .... take the enormous amount of time it takes and make your own... i think you will appreciates others efforts much more once you do even if it dont appeal to you...and I dont mean cook a rom... i can teach a monkey to click the mouse a few times... i mean make a kitchen of your OWN files and cook & release roms like he is doing

Anyone having an issue searching contacts in this ROM? I can't find any contacts by searching beyond my "H" contacts...I've rebooted, but I haven't reflashed yet(after my normal second flash after install).

Other than the quirky contacts, I do think this ROM is faster and smoother than the 20764 based version. Although I must admit, they are both so fast you are really comparing faster to faster-er....:-)

Weaponx, I'm having a problem with the phone ringing.... The phone will only viberate, even if I have the ringer on high.


Then only apps I have installed are:

Google Search (New at http://m.google.com/search)
Conflippers Custom Weather
Google Maps

Any thoughts of what I might of did wrong?

Regarding the kind gentleman (of whos name we shall not speak...) and his delightful regards on weapon graphics...

Im am regrettably sorry that my novice experience in graphical editing fell short of your highly coveted HTC generic badging. Unfortunately at this time I am not considering altering the lack of cosmetic appeal in my roms and will have to detour you into creating:

Your own functional rom build...
Your own functional HTC graphics...
Your own functional speed tweaks & enhancments...
Your own functional apps, shortcuts, & files...
Your own functional resources for rom after rom repeatability...
Your own functional, well maintained & operational kitchen...
Your own thread and possible subsequent negative remarks (which would almost make me spill my Redbull in excitement was it not for the well appreciated weapon fans)

Best of luck to you kind sir... for acquiring help in this forum with demeanor & tact such as yours will quickly become an anchor... and you will get no where... ;-)

I did include UITweaker which has many options for changing highlights & just about any other form of color alternatives. I should have included it in earlier builds...

I am glad to hear you got it working...

I doubt it is anything on your end. Do you have vibrate & ring or vibrate then ring? What is your notification preference? I use vibrate and ring with Vision.wma ringtone and its working... for now. ;-)

I need to remove GAlarm. It now has a user-setup which does not work well with cooking into rom. For those who use it, you may need to add it to SDConfig as my rom is UC compatiable (and I probably should state that in first post... ;-) )

I am betting you hoped I would take offense to this... but no. I don't care if 99% disagree with me. At least it looks decent to me. That flip clock crap is retro-wannabe. And it has never looked good and is only good for wasting space.


I didnt know this was a kitchen. I think he thanked those who provided the kitchen. Again, I don't doubt that he created something functional, but if he wants more people to give it a chance, at least providing more graphical options might get him there. You guys all thought this ROM should get more attention... isn't it sad that it is only getting more attention now that this round of disagreements is occuring? You can thank me if you want... because I am sure this thread will stay in the top list for a while.

BTW... I have tried a LOT of ROMS and NONE of them have held a candle to the erice kitchen. I have been waiting for someone to outdo it, but I have had to go back everytime. With that rom, I can go 3 days without charging, push services actually WORK, it is stable, and it gives theme options.

1. There are a TON of ways to change the graphics, ie, different themes and fonts. try searching
2. there are a fing TON of clocks out there. again, try searching
3. Did you not look at the first post? he thanked erice for the kitchen.... maybe reading a little more about what your slamming would be nice.

4. If you like the stock rom so much, why are you in a custom rom thread?
and more to the point, why are you even in a forum that is all about changing away from the mundane stock stuff that comes on these phones?

I have little problem with the way the rom looks. and the parts i dont like i change and move on. I dont be-little the chef for the countless hours he put into making it look how HE wanted it to look. As the chef himself said before, if you dont like it, build your own. If you do build your own, im sure a lot of people would post in your thread about how its not much different from stock. This Rom is just ONE option for you. Since you obviously dont like it, why even comment on it?

Well said. I've tried many roms and some I've liked, some I haven't, but there's no reason to just slam a chef's preferences on his rom. All of these guys put a lot of work, and time into these roms and share them with us. The least we could do is show them the respect and gratitude they deserve.

Lets all remember one thing. These chefs make these roms to THEIR preference and they SHARE IT with us, FOR FREE!!! So to come in someones personal thread and talk down about it shows alot about your character. Ive tried plenty of roms I didnt like but I would never stoop so low to go in the guys thread and talk down about it after all the UNPAID hours he put into it and kindness to share with the community. SO I for one want to say thx to EVERY chef here for all their hard work and dedication just to make our phones ALOT better then they were when we first bought them!

Ok... so if you were to replace the one word I used... which started with an H, with "not to my liking," I suppose this whole thread would have gone a different route. I felt cheated in a way that it got all this praise, yet my only choice to see what it looked like was to burn it. Why couldn't you post the screenshots like most of the other chefs? If the graphics are such a high item of pride, be proud and post the screenshots. That should be a requirement of all chefs. I think if I were a mod here, I would require screenshots of all ROMS.
