I pulled the OEM off scrosler's thread (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...33&postcount=2) and added it to your OEM folder. Then, in BuildOS, I selected that TLR Manila OEM and didn't select any GC Manila Engine or Manila theme. So, maybe that somehow broke tmail.exe?

Then, to try to fix it, I flashed a rom I cooked from scroslers's SSK 1.1 Kitchen and had the same problem. Of course, I was using the same TLR Manila OEM.....

Then after all that, I flashed the SSK 1.1 "Loaded" ROM. That, obviously, didn't use the TLR Manila theme. Messaging works again. Now, though, I can't connect to the datat network at all (1x or EV). Plus, to make matters more complicated, I am on a "Verizonized" Sprint Device and in all of this re-flashing and storage card flashing, all of my custom Verizon EPST and DMR setting were lost. Even the MSL code was reset. So I've fixed all that, but now I'm not sure if my data problems are due to me screwing up the Verizoninzing or if they're a prl problem or a rom problem.

So anyway, sorry for the long post, but I do like your ROM (even better than scrosler's despite his longer thread) so I'm going to wait for your 2.1.2 version to come out before I spend much more time troubleshooting broken data just in time to re-flash anyway.

But your rom should work fine on a Sprint Device on the VZW Network, right? And like SSK, it should leave PPST and EPST and DMR setting intact, right? Also, any chance you could include a working version of that TLR Animated Black Manila theme? It is very pretty.
Are you sure its the theme? The only reason I ask is that is the same OEM I used on VZN2.1 and no one ever complaind of such things.

Also, I use it myself in my ROM's and never once had these issues. Not to mention people are using it right now, the same oem.... I just a bit skeptical on this one... Not saying you are incorrect... I just need to try it and see. When you get time can you post your TLR story in my thread? I want to see if anyone has the issue. If so I need to look deep as Manila files have nothing to do wth outlook except the enhancement file. Could be that? What do you think GC? But even then, after hundred and hundreds of users someone else woudl have had to see this? I love the unexplained ;c)

As well; My ROM causes no data issues on any phone nor would GC's. If you are having data issues I think you answewred the reason why in your post. Maybe you overwrote? Phone said screw it? seen stranger things in my day. Im sure GC has too.

Just a thought anyways..... Good luck and let us know how it all works out.

otherwise awesome!
To fix this, use the Advance Configuration Tool, click menu->more settings->key mapping, then assign the softkeys to your liking.

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

Just as an update GC, I copied that script over the existing one in your kitchen and it parsed the X-VZW-MDN key properly. So far I am loving this rom. Good work!

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the reply. I think we discovered the root of my isseus on your thread the other night. it looks like somehow, BuildOS cannot successfully cook a ROM on my vista box. I'm not sure what other software it is interfering with (maybe anti-virus) but I am having the same set of problems (unable to install cabs, messaging screen not opening, etc.) with any ROM i cook myself. So, sorry to alarm everyone about potential problems with their ROMs. It looks like its just my screwed up machines.

For now, I will be sticking with pre-cooked ROMs. Alas. It was getting to be time for a reformat of my main machine anyway....

Other question - GC, is your ROM completely EPST-safe like scrosler's? I had to call Verizon to resolve my data issues last time around (I needed a new A-KEY) and I really don't want to screw up EPST by flashing a new ROM and have to call them again. But I'd love to try your next ROM as soon as it comes out. Will I be ok?

Thanks!

Re: GC's Touch Pro ROMs & Kitchen 2.1.0

I just updated to a VZW Touch Pro yesterday.

I really love this kitchen, but I can't seem to get GPS to work at all.

I'm a Apache and Titan veteran, but this is my first time cooking a ROM for a Touch Pro. I checked the box labeled something like "aGPS Driver (Verizon Only)" when I cooked my ROM. What am I missing? Do I need to go into QPST and set the aGPS addresses like I did with my Titan?

Great work!
