Re: [April 25th, 2009] (((((MightyROM5))))) Windows Phone® 21501 Build 21501

lordshadowz, good call... I got a GPS lock in Google Maps in about 4 seconds.

amAze GPS: Turn by turn voice and map directions.
http://www.amazegps.com

I couldn't get it to work on MightROM v5, so I went back to v4.16.

Another person using Tom Tom Navigator said they got much better results. So thats 3 to 1 so far.

Anyone try the settings yet thats having GPS locking issues ? I'd really like to know it works for a second person before I post the changes to the help file.

Good Luck Mike,
Hey I posted yesterday but I'm having troubles with URL errors using Technology1's TCPMP setup. I know that setup is a bit convoluted but it worked great on MR 4.16 and he claims it works on only some WP 6.5 ROMs. Any ideas what I might do to get it to work?

It does work on MightyMikes Copper and M5 6.5 ROM, but I have found other 6.5 ROM'S, that it will work on and will not workl on, it works like a charm on most 6.5 ROM'S ... Try using the PIE/IE6 Toggle software, it's found in both of my threads, it just might work for you....{Lol}

I'm finding that the registry settings under HKLM/Software/HTC/SUPL-AGPS has a lot to do using the correct PDE IP for your carrier, the port used, and that key EnablePDEIPFromNV. If that last one is set to 1, then your PDE IP will be overridden from, what I believe, your radio's NVRAM.

This may explain why you are unable to get a lock with GPS mode set to 4. If this indeed the case, try setting the GPS setting to 1 and put the phone in clear view of the sky and try to get a lock.

If Mike is testing 21215.... Why is MR5 and copper at higher build number (21500 & 21501).

I was under the impression the higher the number the newer the build.

Either way, hope it works out to be a good one.

**EDIT** Is that why the rumors started of build "21500" being a fake Microsoft OS release, cause the numbers didn't coincide???

i think he tested it, but i also read in another thread he thought it was botched and not as good. I guess, we'll have to wait and see.

Okay, i am sure it has been said somewhere, but i been searching the thread, and i haven't seen it. But did anyone have a problem with the weather not updating. I can find my city, but right now it is not 11 degrees in Kansas City.

Any help would be appreciated. I am using the TF3D, and i dont think i can use the titanium weather with that.

Thanks.

I can't seem to launch the Long End Key configuration, anyone else?

As a side note, what are you using to quickly launch the comm manager?

you can move the comm manager into your windows/start menu/programs and then go into settings/personal/buttons and setup a shortcut to your comm manager there.
