Updating the radio will not impack the ROM. It just will or might give you a better signal. I also have a sprint TP and updated to Telus v1.04 then put back the sprint 1.11 radio I did not see any difference between the two.

I reinstalled MR5 restored just the contacts and the multiple messages stopped.

Dangit... The ringtone corruption got me! Lord Shadow is right.. it will creep on you at some point in time. That is the ONLY thing that is not working correctly for me.. I read through the last 10 pages.. and it looks like there is still no fix

Did MR5 4-25 yesterday to see how it goes since I've been happy with 4.16, and didn't even have it more then 2 hours when it kept on sending texts to about 12 friends and family members. Watta nuisance.

Immediately flashed back to 4.16 and all back to normal again.

Did you do a hard reset after flashing the ROM? Also, did you use PIM backup to restore text messages? These 2 things seems to be the #1 cause of that particular issue.

i have 0 problems with the newest mr5..just gotta do all the steps and install all apps to make it work.

I have Mighty Rom 5 4.21.09. Other than the phone freezing for like 30 seconds when I'm trying to open a text and sometimes numbers showing up in my words I have only found 1 issue that may not have been previously addressed.

Text messages go onto saying 2nd message after 130 characters. I thought my stock rom said 160 characters per message.

Did you install the SMS 160 cab from the first post?
