Re: [ROM] [MAY.08.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Mike i'm not going to tell you how to word your stuff, but as soon as you don't do it, someone will ask. I'd probably re-word the Hotfix page and say "Install Hotfix to Device". I would think some might ask "Mike, do we install to device or storage card."

thanks for this.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.08.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Guys, I am a die hard MR 4.16 fan. Ive tried WM6.5 when Mike initially released it, but I decided to go back home to 4.16 within a matter of a few days...simply for its stability, battery life and performance.

Im tempted to flash Yesterday's MM5 release, but I thought I'd 'phish' for some feedback on battery life first. How does it compare to 4.16's? TIA.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.08.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Batt life is lacking. 4.16 was alot more stable. I only get about 6-8 hours on standby and around 2-3 when used. Give it time and Im sure Mike will fix it. He is after all a phone God.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.08.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Im thinking the contradicting comments ive read thus far about WM6.5's battery performance has a large part to do with the user, as well as the radio he/she has installed on the device. I remember coming across a post in which someone claimed WM6.5 has "better" power management features. But then, I stumble across another post about how 4.16/WM6.1 somehow having better battery performance...which is why I am a bit conflicted about said issue.

I tend to refrain from asking such opinion based questions, but the users who follow this thread are usually quite informative and knowledgeable. Thanks to all who can/has provided feedback into this inquiry.

Try hard resetting through clear storage method in settings menu.

One thing i've always found is that off an initial flash sometimes the battery life is horrendous.

It happens sometimes!

Re: [ROM] [MAY.08.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Thanks for the reassurance, Mike. I think I'm feeling confident and adventurous enough to ditch 4.16...for now.

Besides, I have a copy of 4.16 stored on my hard drive for "emergency" purposes, so I can always go back 'home' should I feel the need.

BTW, Mike...which radio are you on?
