using Sprint touchpro on Verizon

Hi. It is my understanding tht the Sprint touchpro is a much better unit than the Verizon unit -- is there any way I can get a Sprint touchpro and by flashing Rom or Radio or other things to make it work on Verizon? Is there a big difference between the two units?
