starting from scratch

When I became a member of PPCGEEKS I was still a single daddy, as I am now, but my children's "mother" had visitation about 1/3 of the time. I started off with a Sprint Touch/Vogue and was on this site any time my children weren't with me. Now I have my children full time and work an hour away so I don't have much time to search the site. If anyone would be so kind as to give me some links, I would seriously appreciate it.

I can flash other people's ROMs. Cook my own using PPCGEEKS KITCHEN. I want to cook my own from scratch, bases, drivers, oems...everything from scratch.

I am really sorry for being the reborn newb but I don't have too much time on my hands. Thanks to anyone for your help. No thanks to anyone who wants to flame ROTFLMAO. Ironically, the people who do flame will probalby be people who I have thanked in the past.

I have a Sprint Diamond and Touch Pro. This is where I need direction on the issues discussed above.
Thanks to all,
Yamus

Re: starting from scratch

eRice/Calcu/gc14 all have good kitchens. Calcu I think supplies a very generic kitchen that you can insert your own sys/xip into as you desire for what ever phone you have. I suggest you start there.

Well, just to let you know, I have been there done that and have more t-shirts then you can imagine. I was a single parent for a very long time and still took the time to do my own research in most cases. Single parent isn't an excuse to take the easy road. Call me a flamer lol...but I have been in your shoes so I don't in any way take pitty. Search search search! But the above should help get ya started.

Re: starting from scratch

OK, this has nothing to do with th OP's post, but rather aceracer's sig line. It's been my experience that those who have a lot of $$$, but earn it are not nearly as stupid as those that have a lot of $$, but did nothing to earn it

Not much has changed. PPCgeeks kitchen = PPCkitchen. You'll find a stickied post (by me) at the top of each forum. All cdma devices supported, plenty of bases to pick from. Feel free to mix and match.

Thanks for all that but you have no idea what my situation is until you have walked an inch in my shoes. Thanks for the info but no thanks for the flame. I guess you know exactly what my situation is and I should just be banned from the forum. If that is the case, let the mods decide. I was only asking for some simple help, which you did, but I could live without the lecture. SERIOUSLY!

Thanks GURU. You have always been helpful to me. I do love PPC kitchen but I want to get more in depth with each aspect. I guess...I really don't have the time to get into all of that right now. I just have always wanted to give back to the people who have given so much to me.
Thanks to all,
Yamus

Thanks for that. Back when I had a little more time on my hands I loved to read RSTOY's tutorials. He is very clear and thorough.

I will take all the help I can get. Now I just have to figure out which phone I want to start with...Diamond, Pro, Diamond, Pro. Decisions decisions.
