I've been attempting to just use a diff manila OEM but can't really find a good one unfortunately... I tried the raphael manila from ppckitchen but it doesn't have touchflo on the today screen... will continue playing around with this... im desperate to get this ROM working because it is by FAR the fastest and cleanest out of all the ones I've tested.

was wondering... what manila do you use gc? or do you not cook it?

The Verizon landscape manila issue is the only known issue. The OEM package is VERBATIM from the stock Verizon ROM, down to the last reg entry. I've tested EVERYTHING, and I've concluded that it's something to do with 20931/20954 builds. I extracted the 19972 Verizon stock XIP and SYS, and used it in my kitchen along with the same Verizon Manila OEM and there's no issue with manila. But as soon as I cook it with 20931/20954 it's there again.

FYI, I use the generic manila from the kitchen.

Eitherway, its still nice work!

Yeah, the lbsdrivers are included in the Verizon carrier OEM by default. The Verizon OEM GPD package includes Verizon's OEMGPSONE.dll which is only distributed in the Verizon stock ROM.

Is the MMS confirmed working for Alltel in this kitchen?

One minor critic is on the Weather panel. It shows up with IDS in front of everything. It works fine, it just looks kinda hokey.

ya... I had that problem even with the generic one gc says he uses... I don't understand how I have all these problems and no one else does?

heh oh well.. anyways, I managed to find an OEM that works in the ppckitchen rar... it just didn't have the today registry settings in there but I hacked those in the rgu and everything seems to be fine now.. I give up on the vzw manila... I kinda like having all the shortcuts on one page anyways.

couple other questions tho gc...

what causes the beep when windows is booting?

what exactly is being run during customization? I checked to see if the autorun oem was in the kitchen but I don't see it anymore.. I usually remove this... it's not a big deal to have it reboot after first flash but just wondering if it's necessary.

thanks!

I don't know what it is, but when I run Mobile Matt's TF3D Blackberry theme (http://www.mobilematt.net/TF3D%20Skins.html) the phone hard resets itself on reboot. I have tried it twice with the same results. For now I will just hold off, but it is a little weird that a theme would hard reset the phone.

ok now im seeing some more weirdness with htc task mgr... when u click on the down arrow on today (in manila) which shows the tasks it is hiding manila and going to a black screen... also if I try and select today from settings it puts it on screen and manila takes focus.. have to have another app take focus first then load settings...

I included all of the required settings for Alltel arcsoft, though I've not been able to test anything with Alltel, as I am on Verizon. Let me know if you find any issues or bugs.

Hmm, it's weird, cuz I'm not seeing any of the weather panel issues. I'll look into it though.

The beep is because HTCStartupAnimation is activated, but there is no startup sound for Verizon. I use my own custom startup sound so I don't notice it, but I can fix the beep for people who don't want any sound.

If you don't use UC and don't have SDConfig.txt on your storage card, then nothing is being run. UC is included by default now, so all it does is look for SDConfig, and if it doesn't find it, it resets. So you don't need to reset manually after flashing.

Does it only hard reset when using that TF3D theme? My device hasn't hard reset on its own at all, and I've flashed dozens of times while testing.

I'm not sure I'm understanding your problem. Are you referring to HTC Task Manager in the top right corner or in the today tab of manila itself? Either way mine works fine. It could be the version of manila you're using. I use the generic version, and when I finger swipe on the today tab it hides the clock and shows everything. HTC Task Manager also works fine. Be a little more specific and I'll try to figure it out.

As far as Today from settings...are you referring to Start->Settings->Today? Again, it works fine for me. Let me know.

That error is caused if your X-VzW-MDN registry key is not set. Did you select the Verizon carrier in the kitchen? If not, then the proper arcsoft settings aren't set, including that key.
