want to update your ppckitchen? i have the files here!

i have succesfully added sys 20954 to the ppckitchen buildos. i used calkulins sys folder from his kitchen, and removed some things to make it work. i take no credit for the sys files or the kitchen. i simply just added and removed some things, and edited some of the kitchens files. i have put all of the files in .rar package, and this is what to do with them:



find your buildos installation folder.. mine was in programfiles/ppckitchen.org/BuildOS

navigate to Kitchens and place the SYS_20954_Common.rar in the folder. DO NOT EXTRACT IT

Delete the Herman_Core.rar thats in the kitchen folder already.

place the Herman_Core.rar from the package in the kitchen folder. DO NOT EXTRACT

navigate to the projects folder and go to Groups/BuildBases

place WM6.1_192DPI_VGA_20954_0409 in this folder.

go back and go into DeviceBases and place the Herman_WM6.1.txt file in there, and hit overwrite.

now your done! open up buildos and select 20954 as your rom base and happy building!

OH YEH THE BEST PART IS THE TEXT MESSAGING ISSUE IS FIXED! NOW YOU DONT HAVE TO HIGHLIGHT EVERY TEXT YOU GET

With the last PPCK build, I wasn't able to get the gps to see a single sat. This should fix that I think.

The only thing I don't get is why they (ppckitchen.org) don't have their own flavor as an update already. Usually they are pretty speedy.

Question.. using Calkulins kitchen/ROM would cause the internal storage to read 150mb.. is this an issue using the PPCKitchen with the updated system files?

nope internal storage shows up how its supposed to. only bug so far is you cant use the pageppool changer within ppcgeeks, you have ti change it the way you change it in calkulins kitchen

FYI i still have issues with TF3D restarting using this updated files with this kitchen. i really would like to build my own ROM but i can't get one that does not have this issue. it is not my selections, it is the kitchen.

Because an original 20954 can't be found easily and our usual source is out of commision for medical reasons.
