Anyone using Vista with Service Pack 2 and able able to flash their TP?

Hello all,

I recently upgraded to Service Pack 2 (beta), which is available from microsofts download site.

I am not sure if SP2 is the culprit, but I cannot think of anything else.

Yesterday, I tried to flash my TP with Mighty's 3.8 ROM but I got the following error. It attempts to flash by TP but at 1% I get this screen.

Before I installed SP2, I had flashed my TP with Ivans 1.3 which works great, but I get the dial 777 error at least once a day. (sorry Ivan, just wanted to throw that in there :P)

Any ideas?

Did you installed beta SP2 based on existing installation of Vista? Kaz I didn't had any problem flashing my TP with the installation where beta SP2 is already slipstreamed in.

Well to my understanding beta 2 is not open to public so I would assume you have subscription to either MSDN or TechNet.

Go to the library and you'll find the checked built with beta SP 2 built in x86 or x64 ISO.

Try it that way. Typical Windows behavior.

I have Vista x64 SP2 installed on an existing Vista system (non-slipstreamed). I've flashed my phone several times since with no issues. The problem is that you're trying to flash a non-TP rom on a TP.

Exactly. Mightys ROM is a Diamond ROM. Thats your problem and why it wont flash.

As others have said, you are trying to flash a Diamond ROM to a touch pro. Not gonna work, no matter what OS you have.
