Re: [ Jul 21 ] [ 23009 \ 21921 \ 21052 ] [ v2 ] Calkulin's Kitchen & ROMs

Teeter works fine. The gsensor calibration works now, but Opera is hit or miss. Sometimes it now rotates, but mostly won't. Manila doesn't ever rotate automatically. I'm not using any 3rd party apps to rotate, just the built-in gsensor.

Before reflashing, I just thought there might be a reg edit to either make opera rotate again, or speed up the rotation speed when turning the screen to landscape??

My suggestion would be to NOT install the battery saver cab if you want your gsensor to work.

I got the gsensor to work now, but Opera still won't rotate. Does anyone know what reg changes that cab makes or how to get rotation working again in opera?

Thanks.

No problems here using exchange. Did you build your own rom? Mine is from the 4.2 kitchen and I haven't had any issues.

One strange thing I've noticed (anyone else?) is that when I open an email to view it, the bottom button remains and X when it should be on OK to go back to the main email inbox screen. I'm not sure how to fix that or if it's just a part of 23506.

I had Weather Demo working, where it crashes on yours. And I had the animated BG too.

What am I missing?? LOL I am free this afternoon, so I'll keep plugging away.
Well I didn't include all the packages I use but I'm only using bits and pieces of Calks new kitchen. I thought that would be all you need to get it up and running.

Right. I have taken out all the other Manila packages so I could focus on 2.5. Leaving the other EXT packages doesn't bother me, so I left those in. I'm re-cooking right now, so I will keep my fingers crossed.

I just don't know if I'm supposed to be adding to initflashfiles.dat or something else.

I GOT IT!! LOL

I have Manila 2.5 working, and working good!

I used Calk's 2.5 EXT Packages from his Pro2 kitchen, along with the files from the first and second post in the XDA 2.5 thread, if anyone else wants to give it a try.

how's the sms and mms messaging working out for ya? Those seem to be the biggest complaints about manila 2.5 at the moment....

Just so-so... I'm having an isue with the menus not being aligned right, so I can't even send an MMS I guess. When I used NRG's 2.5 rom, I tested it a little, but his 2.5 is a little outdated. I honestly prefer to use MS Messaging and Arcsoft. It doesn't look as pretty, but it's pretty solid, where HTC's isn't.

It's easy to get around the HTC Messaging Client too, but I still want to mess with it a little more. You should give it a shot, and see what you think too! I noticed that they alomost have it CFC compressed, so maybe Calk will include it in kitchen 4.3

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

I'm having an issue with Opera not using my data connection. The weird thing is that when I use wifi it works perfectly. Whats even stranger is that Internet Explorer works using both data and wifi. I'm running 23506 with Opera version 9.70.35443.2. I've verified that my data connection is working properly by downloading my Gmail messages and by using the Weather app. Anyone know what could be causing this ?

Thanks,

McNeil
