At this point the ringtone has already been zapped out (mine defaults to first ringtone in list when viewed in wm settings). When I set ringer back to 'normal' from silent' ringer won't actually make a sound until I manualy choose a ringtone via either Manila or wm settings.

Would anyone care to reproduce these steps? Maybe we can find the solution...
well, i have had the problem using the default wm 6.5.1 volume control. i dont use manila to change the sound level. and i dont change the ringtone ever, it is set the the modem ring that calk setup for us...

Alright, so it's not Manila, but simply turning sound off & back on? Great, that narrows it down!

Right. It works when you click the Update link but not when you choose a .prl file in EPST and apply it that way.

And I extracted 60655 and posted it a couple of days ago.
Plus I just swapped my phone and I'd rather be using a 607xx for data cards so I can stop getting stuck in 1X.

Calc - Just wanted to let you know that 23081 ROM you posted to test is incredible. Very fast and stable.
Thanks!

Re: [ 10-22 ][ v4.1 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

I just tried the kitchen for the first time. I think I've got the basics down but it IS clear that I don't know what I'm doing. Since I'm on a vzw tp, I'd like a fairly stripped down 23071 rom to save on memory.

Could someone let me know what I don't need to include in a test rom to save as much memory as possible? Is there a list somewhere of things that aren't necessarily needed to get a working rom?

Thanks for any help.

EDIT: yes, even though I don't use it much because of memory issues, I'd like to keep the latest manila.

This is different from Calks ext in the 6.1 EXTs becasue I added the zero press hold time fix to the reg file. This is needed for touchflo on 6.5.
I tried to cook this in and still only got the full keyboard option??? So I pulled the biotouch.dll and droped it in the windows folder, soft reset, and then I had the phone pad option, but still no compact qwerty... so I droped in the compact qwerty nikoan89 package from an older kitchen into this kitchen... now cooking in touchflo still did nothing, so after dropping in the biotouch.dll file into the windows folder, compact qwerty option WAS THERE ... but when you go to type, it only keys in numbers and symbols ???
Someone, ANYONE PLEASE HELP

really?? silly question, are you sure you selected the zzz-TouchFlo package when cooking? It may not have been enabled automatically.

for those you have Total Commander button issues w/ wm 6.5.1.... check out the new beta!! works great!

http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=24409

Just made the EXT package out of the cab. Haven't tested it, but it should work w/o a problem. Let me know how it goes...

Don't know if I have to write this, but just in case, Total Commander is not my software. I simply downloaded the exe, extracted the cab, and made it into an EXT package. All credit for the software goes to ghisler.
