So are you saying that we won't be able to use any of the custom ROMS?

Re: Since Verizon now has the Touch Pro....
Wow, I just saw it on the Verizon site. Looks UGLY! The Mogul is finally down to 299 though. How stupid. Phone is more cash and totaly crippled compared to Sprint's version.

Re: Since Verizon now has the Touch Pro....
im pretty sure they will have to be modded. but i could be wrong. a start would be to dump the vzw pro rom. let me or another cook compile it into a flashable rom. HOWEVER i think that youre SPL will be different therefore the unlocker will not work so you could flash a cooked rom if you wanted.

Re: Since Verizon now has the Touch Pro....
Well as soon as I get mine, I will get back to you so that I can dump the ROM. Is there anything I need to get before hand to dump the ROM?

Re: Since Verizon now has the Touch Pro....
The Sprint Touch Pro runs the Verizon leaked ROM fine, as I run the Sprint Touch Pro with the Verizon ROM on the Verizon network. It may not work the other way around though, using a Sprint ROM on the Verizon xv6850 since it has gimped specs. Hmm...

Re: Since Verizon now has the Touch Pro....
If you can afford it, you would be better off getting a Sprint one at full price then put it on Verizon as KilgoreBA did. That way you could take full advantage of the upgraded hardware.

Re: Since Verizon now has the Touch Pro....
yeah, but you wouldnt be able to get insurance on the sprint one. and even if you did, if your phone got lost or stolen, they'd send you a verizon one....
