Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM

Copied from the sticky on the CDMA main upgrades page... I always had the best luck flashing from my PC rather than my storage card. How to Flash Via PC: (Copied from above link) 1.download the ruu.zip attachment 2.unzip to your desktop 3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU) 4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button) 5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe 6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there *****In step 3, place nexvision's ROM in the folder you just unzipped... Flash from microSD Card (Thanks to MadlyAlive): 1. Make sure you backup anything that is necessary to your day to day operations! At a minimum, please perform an ActiveSync to Outlook or your Exchange server prior to flashing! 2. Rename the custom ROM NBH file from RUU_Signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh 3. Copy RAPHIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD Card. 4. Hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus. 5. When your Touch Pro tells you to do so, press the power button to begin the flash process. If you do not get the message to press the power button to flash, there is a mistake in the name of the NBH file or you do not have the file at the root of your microSD card. 6. When flashing is complete, perform a soft reset. Last edited by bsepub; 12-08-2008 at 11:14 PM. |

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
Wonderful Rom!
Interesting note - maybe not. Before I restored my spbbackup file to the verizon touchpro, I tried the gpsviewer. Gpsviewer FOUND the gps on COM4: and appeared to communicate with it. While the data that came back may or may not have been good, after I restored and reset, GPSviewer no longer FINDs the COM4 port. Is this a dll i can find in the windows folder - i have been looking!? or is the missing port because of 'added' registry entries? Or does it even matter ... --- On another note... I could NOT get the RAPHIMG rename to work from an SD card. I wonder if the name for the verizon is different than the sprint TP.

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
Is there anyway to change the bars on top and bottom to the original colors? What about the drop down arrow task manager that was included?

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
Just a quick thing I noticed is a program that previously ran under the stock vzw rom does not run anymore. The error has to do with PInvoke trying to access sqlce. I believe this is included in wm 6.1, but may be left out of this rom? I tried installing the cab for sqlce, but it must not place it in the same location or something as that didn't fix the error.
EDIT: I found a .cab for sqlce3.0 and installed it from the windows directory and that fixed the problem. It looks like sqlce3.5 is included in the rom. Last edited by mongoose0318; 12-09-2008 at 01:04 AM. |

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
Can anyone tell me how to change the bottom home bar to show something other than "Contacts" and "Camera" on this rom? I've looked through all the settings and cant figure it out..

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
This thing is pissing me off!!
Every soft reset acts like a hard reset. It takes longer to boot and asks for customizations like its booting for the first time. I tried several builds from the kitchen and if it doesn't behave this way it will just lock up on the first screen. Back to the crappy VZW leaked for now. Hoping for the kitchen to build a touchflo 3d rom. At least we VZW have something to do now. Just got the TP this morning and haven't activated it yet. Cant get it the way I like it and my Titan already does more than this one new.

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM
Try using Advanced Configuration. On the bottom right button, I believe it is menu - select additional settings. You an then poiint the right and left softkeys at another program.
