going a bit o/t here, and i'm just a newbie, but could the answer to what vzw has done to cripple the gps lie in the question of why is it that those people who flashed a Sprint phone to vzw have reported that their gps still works?

The only way for us to to get it unlocked after an MR12 update was to revert to a previous non GPS radio to wipe the PRI clean. You had to let customizations run but no one ever really did prove that had any affect when reverting.

Is there any way we can extract the pri info from an unlocked radio like the one on my vogue? One that has never been upgraded past 1.03 and apply it to the Raph? I volunteer to try if somenone knows how to. Its just a thought.

They were never able to revert completely. It always came back as soon as a rev A radio and ROM were reloaded. There was speculation that some data sector was rewritten with the old pri that didn't take affect when the new one majically reappeared. With that being said, I'd think flashing a ROM with Sprint's carrier package then flash again with Verizon's carrier package might have the same affect as what we faced with the MR1 tragedy.

Flashed Nex's VZW rom and I'm looking into it now. I'll post back with findings.

I'm assuming it won't but wanna make sure this causes no issues with Sprint TPs running on vzw's network. I get TP#2 on Tuesday and wanna make sure there are no weird bricking issues with this ROM. I trust it's solid but it never hurts to ask :)

Thats very tru but that would make the assumption that the sprint ROM will overwrite that data bits....

GC will tell us how to make it work. Im sure of that.

Don't know if this is of any interest to you, but apparently VZW temporarily unlocked the aGPS servers?

Can anyone report how this flash worked for them so far? We're all dying to know when to start flashing ours.
