I got 2 devices here pulled em both out of the case applied your FIX and bam gps. Flashed scroslers ROM and bam lost GPS tried rerunning your FIX and failed said it was already installed and couldn't be removed. Flashed back to stock and no GPS. Flashed custom and no GPS. Flashed leaked radio/rom combo let customizations run applied fix and bam GPS working again. Flashed custom and GPS reflashed scrosslers and bam GPS gone I repeteaded this cycle a couple times to verify even redownloaded his rom 2 or 3 times to ensure I had a complete download.

I really had no intention of being a a** to you bored and to anyone was just posting my observations, and what I have been helping people fix in the chat room all week. Maybe I have the 2 devices produced by HTC for Verizon that dont like his ROM well that aint it since I had to fix another 4-5 this weekend. Who knows maybe the FIX cant be in place and then run on a ROM who knows. I havent looked into it yet since I had to make a ROM for a couple people in the chat whos phones where broke I figured I would test it out and see.

Both of you have said your piece so u can now move on.

Ok all bs aside.... when you go to reinstall it wont fully uninstall...that's ok.. just follow thru with the installation then run PPST.exe .... up until his latest rom vzw took priority over my fix off of a clean install...so when you first run customizations and rebooted you needed to go to ppst.exe... with this v3 rom it overrides vzw... that was the issue with his rom previous rom

if you want to work with the fix inside of a kitchen I would be more than happy to send you the OEM I authored to automate the installation of it

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM

Nex, Sco, and bored...

you're all awesome and thanks to you guys, the rest of us are enjoying these HTCs to the max (I certainly am). I have used the bored fix in the original Scott's ROM and works great (following all directions line by line). Later tonight will load Nex's ROM and also give it a try.

Thank you all so much for the effort in all you're doing and keep up the good work. Here are two more challenges I'm seeing which not sure can be resolved:
1. the HTC has an FM radio tuner (supposedly), is it possible to make that work? Is this another thread?
2. i'm very dissappointed with only 113M of RAM on the HTC, any way of recovering more? The Sprint version of the HTC had ~ 190MB or so? Is this another thread?

Thank you again!!!

I did try that on one of the phones since I noticed he left autorun.exe in there. I did not try it on any other's though. The fix shouldnt need to be reapplied over and over should it? It's your fix if u assure me thats its fine to cook in I have no problems cooking it in. I just have been busy with life and took a break from ROM's since I had switched to the OMNIA. So I haven't really played with anything yet. Built a ROM end of last week for a user in chat to fix his from phase 1 (not knocking it) and then another one for a group who wanted stock with working GPS (VZNAV) and had the same issue as I did. Just getting used to the TP again and just finished dumping all the fake chinese builds to determine whats real and whats not.

Hey if you wanna send it over I will add it to my ROM and add it to the kitchen. I am still a little puzzled as to y it would have to be rerun or incorporated since it's a PRI, it should only get overwritten on shipped.exe. So for custom ROM's it should not be needed since u only have to run it once unless you flash legit upgrade.

#1 still working on Lenny was actually the one making progress on it and then he fell ill so it got put on hold since my OMNIA had FM radio I didn't look at it.

#2 I have looked at this in full full detail it just ain't there open up. In theory based on the chips it shouldn't need it based on the processor dedicated RAM however I agree it would be nice to have since I am back on this thing.

no it shouldn't need to be reapplied... just when using scott's v2 rom you had to run ppst.exe manually.....v3 does everything for you....my P1 fix was a sprint PRI modded for vzw... P2 is the vzw PRI recoded for GPS.. that's the only part of it I messed with... that's why it is working great for vzw tp users... just one line of code to unlock gps

the main problem was using vzw's OEM pack... it has a hidden script in it that induces a PRI with PRL 51109... it's been very puzzling to me actually.. .that's why I had to force it to overwrite during customizations

Yeah I followed the progress to see if it was possible to apply the same method on the OMNIA. Thats y I held off on V1 was because of that but V2 looked very stable so I tried it and haven't had any service related issues like V1 created.
