help.....transfering contacts

hi im kind of new to this and i was jus wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. when i flash a new rom i use pim backup to restore everything. and everything looks fine but when i look at my contacts i find that i have at least 5 of every contact. what am i doing wrong. does anyone have a solution. and if anything does anyone kno a way i can at least delete multiple numbers at once.. please please help. right now im sitting with 2000 contacts

When you do a restore choose to only add new contacts, and delete existing that should work for you.

yea tried that...... i made sure that was selected last time and still got the same problem

Get back down to the right amount of contacts and create a new backup. Then try it with only adding new contacts selected.

yea ive done that twice. it jus keeps adding duplicates.
