And, like I said, you SHOULD have said 20924. The kitchen is a place where you can choose programs, yes, but no, the "whole idea" isn't "so you can choose programs to be used with 20924". The idea is it can be used to cook a ROM...any rom...which is a lot more than just the parts you are choosing or 20924. The "kitchen" applications (bepes and PPCkitchen) don't change significantly, just the basekits they process. 20924 and 20931 are basekits. You plug them into a kitchen, choose a few optional items, and out pops a ROM. With Bepe, the distinction is not important because it does not handle multiple basekits or multiple devices simultaneously - you get a unique installation for each basekit/device you want to build. PPCkitchen, on the other hand, handles multiple basekits and multiple devices with only one installation. To say the "kitchen" is broken when it's really just an issue with a particular basekit and all other basekits are fine is obviously incorrect. It's like saying Microsoft Excel is broken because you have trouble using Joe Blow's spreadsheet with it.

I'm guessing you had more than 1 gsensor app running. It isn't a shareable device, apparently.

* I never could get a "stock" manila OEM to work. There are 4 manila OEMs in the kitchen: 2 of them didn't even show up on the today screen and weren't options in start -> settings -> today -> items. The other 2 OEMs had some crappy theme on it that I didn't like. I found the "Diamond TF3D Config" app and loaded a "HTC Black" theme, but it was still annoying to say the least.

After flashing about 5 different times with different combinations at 10mins each, I got so fed up that I went back to stock.
It should have been easy to get a stock manilla. Isn't that one of the choices?

Re: Just out of curiosity, which rom are you using with your touch pro?

I am thinking about using a custom ROM but I don't know which one is best or if it is worth jumping through the hoops.

I would like to see what the differences are - or maybe someone who has used them could post what they are using now and WHY they like that one vs the others out there ...

Or, you could flash them yourself. And fix your Bold key - it seems to be stuck.

Re: Just out of curiosity, which rom are you using with your touch pro?

Honestly... I tried all the roms and noticed very little change and really never really cared for custom roms since non provided a significant raise in performance. Sure.. some sped up tf3d a bit but nothing to say :wow!". but in my quest to find out why my moguls opera 9.5 ran soo much smoother than my pros stock opera and upgraded opera, I found this rom by Juggs, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=43229

And WOW! This thing is blazing fast, now I am a believer! Opera runs like butter almost!

Re: Just out of curiosity, which rom are you using with your touch pro?

Cooked rom -> ability to do a hard reset and be back up and running in no time.

I use UC to install a library of CABS from the memory card, which I keep updated with the latest versions (eg Google Maps, Skyfire, etc..)

PIM Backup for Contacts/SMS restoration
Regedit for a registry restore, if needed.

And that's not to mention the ability to have the rom exactly as you want it. I don't care much for some of the programs/splashscreen others roms have built-in, hence the cooking of my own.
