before i shatter my phone to a million pieces

What does this mean? 3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU) It didnt come in the file. And what does error 240: file open mean and are they related?. I know theres going to be an answer right in front of my face so go ahead and let me have it but this is my first time flashing to a new rom. Ive been stuck here for 2 hours now

because it's your phone's fault you can't figure out how to flash a rom from your computer....

the error isn't really that hard.. it is telling you that it isn't finding the RUU_signed in the RUU folder. place the RUU_signed.nbh in the folder and start the update utility

RUU_Signed.nbh is the actual ROM file. it needs to be in the same directory/folder as the ROM Update Utility (RUU) executable.

look I know it isnt the phones fault and its mine but im sure im not the only one who couldnt figure something out and got p*ssEd then wanted to throw the closest object to you which for me happend to be my phone. Problem is i still dont know or see RUU_signed.nbh in the file i downloaded. pretty dog btw

Save the rom file to your desktop, right click on file then select extract here. The ruu_signed.nbh should be right there on your desktop after extracting. Now copy that file to the ruu folder then run the update utility.

EDIT: This is of course assuming that you have your phone unlocked, using a valid rom image and of course being in bootloader while connected to your pc.

It was nue rom 217. The file shows up as an internet explorer file though.

If anyone else ever has this problem download winrar from thier computer. It somehow was uninstalled. thanks everyone who helped.
