I have successfully changed the PagePool size on a Touch Pro rom! - Page 3

i will admit that though it is a stock rom, JDs rom seems to run pretty quick. however, after editing the NBH myself on both lines with values for 32 and 24 MB of PagePool, and reflashing... the ram size is still the same... perhaps I am doing something wrong...

I am not sure you would actually see that ram as used...I could be wrong though.

If the hex edit worked, your "Total Memory" should be LOWER. if it still says ~203 MB in total memory, it's still using the default 6mb pagepool

The default pagepool size for both the Sprint Diamond and Sprint Touch Pro stock roms is 12MB (03 15 in hex), not 6MB. You can verify this by setting a pagepool size of zero (00 15 or 00 16). Total Program memory will increase to around 215MB.

so if you change it to 00 15 will it be a unlimited page pool or whatever (the mode where it uses as much as it needs to)

Theoretically. Try it out. I'll stick to 24mb though. It's really fast, anything bigger is overkill IMO

well than can someone please help me?? ive hex edited JDs rom so many times (on both lines) and my memory still shows 203... so its not working... can someone post a pic of the mem page when using the 32megs? and the nbh too
