Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

Ok, I flashed Mighty a few weeks ago no problem. I now want to flash a new radio. Do I just merely extract the new (radio).rar file into the existing RUU folder already on my desktop from the Mighty flash or do I extract the (radio).rar file onto my desktop as a new folder and just run the flash from the new (radio) folder created? Any help is appreciated.

well i dont know where your getting your radio from, but flashing a radio is the same process as flashing a ROM. You can flash from either RUU or SD Card. Now this is where it gets tricky, depending on the RUU used you may or may not experience a hard reset. Generally speaking, flashing a radio from SD Card does not erase data but of course its recommended to have a backup anyway. So anyway, once you've got your radio NBH file all you need to do is name it appropriately and flash it like it was just any old custom rom :D

OK, I flashing to Sprint Raphael Radio V1.11.00F that I found on this forum:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=46616

The Sprint radio zip file I download looks like it has almost every file in it compared to the ruu.zip on the 1st page of this thread. There are 2 files in the RUU.zip that the Sprint Radio v.1.11.00F does not have: LaunchPPST and GetDeviceData files. Which .zip should I run from?

Is there a way to backup your entire phone and then restore it after flashing to a new ROM?

And by entire, I mean everything... apps installed + settings, bookmarks, etc?

I'm using Microsoft MyPhone to backup my contacts, calendar, messages, etc. -- but find it a pain having to re-install all my apps after I flash.

Yea...there's a program called Sprite BackUp here, that will do that but it is not recommended if you are flashing to a different rom, because that different rom may be a different operating system version (6.1 or 6.5), or there may be several differnt operating system and touchflo3d tweaks that differ, so when you restore a backup, it can just screw things up. No harm in trying though. If the restore screws things up, or things don't work right, then you just have to hard reset.

Thanks so much! I'll try it out.

Hey everyone, I have searched for over an hour on this and can't find the answer.

I am getting the "No image file!" error when I enter the bootloader, and it hangs at 0% when it is installing the image. Any ideas? I was able to get Yay4Juggs on here, but Copper doesn't want to go on.

Thanks!

Are you sure you are renaming the file properly? RAPHIMG.nbh is what it should be, but if you have file extensions hidden it will just be RAPHIMG
Did you put the file in the root of the mem card? Did you flash yay4juggs the same way?
