Direct push doesn't work like that.
That's how the I-phones work. They have to constantly check.
Direct push passive. I'm not sure how the phone receives the signal that there is mail, but with direct push, the mail is being pushed to the phone, not the phone checking for new mail.
That's how I've had it explained, and how I've read it.

I think I will also spend some time later today checking.

JUGS, is your Rom locked?
I think yours would be better to strip down then JD's. Seeing as yours is based on JD's, and you have a lot of tweaks I really like, but it's still just not striped down enough for me. Sorry in advance if it's been asked already.

Are you tethered using the Sprint data connection to your laptop or are you tethered using Wifi/bluetooth?

I tried to connect to the my pc via usb and use the sprint data connection and I got the dial 777 failure as well.

Anyone else have an error in the start up sound on the sprint graphic page when starting the phone?
Mine plays, but its really broken and skippy.

yea mine plays choppy too. it seems like juggs rom has a 1-2 minute time from starting the phone were some processes ramp up and then after that point everything smooths out and speeds up.

its already in there for my next build havier but i couldnt install opera mini with this...it will have to be installed after you flash

i couldn't remove the java you had on with the rom to install the vga java. it kept on giving me a runtime error. installing both, i couldnt make a shortcut for it on my start menu..without getting java conflict error messages. any way around this? i guess if you put the vga java in your next build, installing mini after flashing is no problem. can't wait!! and i just flashed a 2 days ago..dammit. :\

Also wanted to post my battery results with v2.1 with 24 pp. Took it off the charger at 8:30am. Made about 2 hours worth of calls. Sent about 150 messages. Listened to 1 hour of music (maybe 1.25 hours). Now at 11pm, battery shows 8%. Bluetooth was on about 75% of the day. Also, 10-15 minutes of talking was done using speakerphone. I'm tempted to try the 32MB PP but I was extremely happy with the battery life today.

after a series of my own stress tests and given the fact that pp is only used when needed a pp size of 32 will only make you happier in the pants for your device...will not change battery life at all unless you're running 20 copies of tomtom7 or its equivalent all at once...and contrary to popular belief...its not possible

I have had all 5 of HTC devices that sprint has so far since 6700. All of them wake up on its own. The backlight comes on randomly when i am at home where my reception is not so great. At office, i have full reception and it wakes up on its own. I am not sure if it wakes up because its changing towers or not. I do have evdo in my home area. Also, the reception on treo 800w is way better then the pro. Anything can be done with radio for it?

2. also is touchflo 3d hardcoded into the rom or can it be removed? i really dont' like touchflo, got used to using mobile shell....

you know what might be kewl dont know if anyone is interested or how difficult it would be is if you add to the lean rom of all the popular and carrier specific cabs in like lets say the my douments dir then we can pick and chose the ones we want right from there???
