OK I got it into bootloader mode and I am flashing to another custom rom right now....I had to turn the phone upside down to get it into bootloader. Any idea why this happened? And when should I pull the batt and hard reset?

Why are you pulling the battery out? I flash a different ROM 2-3 times a week, and never pull out the battery.

After all the customizations run, and the device is running the new ROM... then do the hard reset before you add your items. After the hard reset, leave the phone alone for a few minutes and then you are good to go.

So you know, pulling the battery out is not a hard reset. Incase that's what is being confusing to codydavis22.
