Weird...I used Total Commander to overwrite the files and make the theme back to the black, but it 'missed' a few files, and most of the icons are still gold. I'm going to hard reset the phone, reflash the ROM, and try again.

Its how it was designed.U can always go to text messages inbox and mark all as read
