i never use landscape so it is not a high priority but yes 1.7 will fix it

Agreed, the gold theme is pretty terrible. I uninstalled it because of this.

I have to admit the gold theme becomes hard on the eyes after awhile and the landscape mode not working correctly is a killer for me. So Im looking forward to 1.7 for the landscape fix..
