Now, that may be completely my fault as I check several things in the Kitchen such as extra games and themes etc. My question is, will that ultimately use up my runtime memory even though I am not actually running the programs?

Thanks for all your hard work!!!

With memory usage that high on boot yoour are going to find that you cant do much....... you will run out of memory if you try to browse the net or listen to music or much of anything. My advice to you is recook without the games ect or whatever you can find cabs for and install the cabs after the flash. It takes longer this way but you will see an initial higher yield in available ram. Also make sure you set the "x" button to close and keep the apps your not using closed.

I also recently was turned onto a program called CleanRam that does wonders for keeping your ram controlled without having to constantly reset to get it back.

You want to be sure you understand the difference between ROM, Storage Space, and memory. The phone has a set amount of storage for the first two and what ever is left over from ROM (all the stuff you selected, plus the OS and what not. This is non-volitile and can only be changed with a new flash.), is available for storage space. This bit of storage is non-volitile. This means it won't get wiped with a soft-reset, but you can change it by doing things like installing cabs, copying files, etc. Neither of these is memory. Memory is a seperate bit of storage which is volatile (gets wiped out with a softreset). Selecting things in the kitchen will ultimately have some effect on how much memory is used at boot, but not directly (at least not after the first boot, if you don't want it to). Under \Windows\StartUp you will find a list of shortcuts for apps that will start with a reset. You can delete these shortcut to disable the app it would start. Other memory consumers are "services" and these are harder and more dangerous to manage. You can use .Fred TaskManager to start/stop/restart and I think disable/enable a service, but do this to the wrong service and you'll need a hard-reset. That last thing you can manage (aside from plain old apps), is your today plugin. TF3D is nice eye candy and all, but it's a memory hog, slow, and not really that productive. If you like the general idea, consider TF2D, or even TL with the TouchFlo theme to gain speed and save memory. Personally, I'll not likely touch any of them again now that I have Titanium in hand :)

Hope that helps.

LoL

all you have to do is use package builder or erase the Duplicate file in the OEM folder.

Problem Solved.

What phone do you have? This kitchen is for the Touch Pro.

What am I doing wrong? When I try to add an OEM it doesn't show up in the BuildOS as an option to select? I'm just copying them to the OEM folder.

Yer Options.xml probably has the OEM choice hidden... open in Notepad and edit.
