Sweet! I'm about to flash the current version of a ROM from this kitchen now. I was thinking of maybe porting over a newer build for it as well.

What version were you planning to use in the next kitchen? That way I know so I don't port the same version over. :)

Do you know whether I can use the OEMizer with this kitchen. I still have the program from a kitchen used when cooking for my 6700. If it is possible, how would I include it? anyone know? thanks in advance since I'm still kind of a noob.

Slow ROM from too many programs?

Oh one other thing and much more important than my OEMizer question...does having a lot of programs built into the ROM slow down performance significantly. I took many of the options provided in your kitchen plus I included OEM package for torchbutton (which works great with the pro as a replacement for (VJCandella since this doesn't appear to be compatible with touchpro). I also included SIP change and a lock on wake program. All in all I did choose a fairly large selection of items but what I want to know is if this should negatively impact the performance of my phone. I would think that as long as I don't have a lot of programs running at the same time that it wouldn't matter too much how many of them are installed on the phone.

there don't appear to be any glitches with the system. Everything runs: calls, data, gps, etc. but it is VERY sluggish whenever I'm in any program...even after a soft reset and if I only run one program at a time. Anyone else experiencing this? I can't imagine I did anything wrong with the OEM but I don't know why it would have such a noticable lag. would it help to overclock ...if there is such a program for the touch pro. Any direction on speeding up my device would be much appreciated. In fact, it would even be donation worthy if it worked. Minus the lag, this kitchen is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Its got all the right stuff...just annoyingly slow. Thanks in advance for anyone with advice.

My guess is that it is something you selected / loaded. This kitchen produces the BEST ROM I have ever had on my TP. I have tried them all and keep coming back to this one because of its speed, stability, and the fact I can go 3 days without charging my battery. I dont know how he pulls it off. No other ROM lasts a day without having to charge. If yours is slow, it is something you are doing.

Thanks Edufur. I was wondering if it was on my end or not. I think I may have pinpointed a major part of the issue as being linked to WM task. I really like the taskmanager bar listing the open programs but I guess I'll have to forgo until I find something that works better with the TP. with that gone I only have one complaint and I'm wondering if this is my fault in my cooking as well. I have turned off the auto complete, word suggestion, word correction etc. but whenever I use my keyboard it still has a black bar showing the word I am typing at the bottom of the screen in addition to where it is actually typing. This I believe is doing two things. 1) it seems to slow down the text input somewhat and 2) it prevents me from doing the quick SMS contact selection. I used to be able to put in the initials of the contact I want and select that person but instead of the possible contact it shows that black bar I described. Are other people getting this too? Thanks again for letting me know.

This happens with just about all the kitchens / roms after first load. Basically, click the onscreen keyboard with your stylus and switch from T9 to ABC. That gets rid of it.

For VZW users, Scrosler has created a replacement OEM pack that interfaces with this kitchen. You just have to replace the entire OEM folder with his. You can find it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=48262
I tried t go there but it says access denied even though I'm logged in. Where can I get this OEM pack
