It will always say unlocked...it's not the lock you think it is though. This was discussed in a Best Buy thread someplace...if I find it I will link it for you but I suggest flashing with the stock Sprint rom .exe. If the phone is not locked, you can't tell by looking at the tricolor screen because it doesn't show 0.37.CMONEX on my phone when I flashed.

soooo the verizon stock says "pre-release" is there an actual "RELEASE" rom floating around somewhere? or is there no diff?

I have a released Verizon Touch Pro (received 7 days ago). I'm happy to dump it if someone can give me directions. I've hacked plenty of Treos in the past but am new to WinMo - but can probably find my way around OK.

So I'm new to this so please excuse this question but now that the Stock ROM for Bell is available, what is a typical amount of time before people may be posting customer ROMs for Bell?

Not pushing just looking for thoughts from people who have been doing this for longer than I.

hook up the phone and run it from your computer via AS.....
